NZR: Website stuff ...
I seem to have mislaid the source for my webshite :slap: Is it possible download it all from the server in one hit, so that I can make some modifications and upload again ? Messed about with Frontpage but although I can 'see' the source, I don't seem to be able to get the whole lot so that I can fix it all up offline.

deep sh....t
Refusing to rev over 2500 is often due to a faulty air flow meter. Check the ECU fault codes for confirmation.

TZR250 hole in piston...why?
Nope, not melted at all. As I said it was poor oil supply, one of the valves (yes those lumps were valves!) seized open, piston comes up and shears it off, rattle, crunch etc. Happened at about 9000rpm, when engines only revved to 9000 rpm .....

DV GOURLAY - who are you ?
Rather a lot actually !
-
TZR250 hole in piston...why?
Almost certainly detonation. Unlike this which was poor oil supply !
-
DV GOURLAY - who are you ?
Thanks for the £20 via bank transfer, but who the devil are you ?

Blown engine
Unless the engine you have is comphrehensively destroyed I would always go for a rebuild, that way you know whats what. Putting another 2nd hand engine in with unknown history can prove expensive - in the short term ! Should you happen to get a good one, then you may be lucky.
