  12. Im trying to get that 100% confirmed though by the way as i dont really want to go to a 64bit system unless i must, posted a few things on pc related forums not very good replies so far though will let you know what i find out :) Chris
  13. Good find on the badge it does look an older style say 260/240?, i say that as i had a 280 and it only said Datsun and 280zx on the back Chris
  14. From what i'm reading win 7/ 32 bit will struggle to see more than the 3.0gb? but a 64 bit sys, xp, vista, or 7 will recognise all of it :)
  15. Welcome to the forum mate, get some pics up of your Z, you will need to use a hosting site like photobucket to show the pics though Chris :)
  16. Added thanks for letting us know you have this :)
  17. Just found this on a pc forum basic but confirmed i think :/ XP doesn't really see more than 3GB. 2GB is enough to make it smile. Vista on the other hand will take almost as much as you can throw at it, and use it.
  18. Same here i love xp :) i dont even mind upgrading to the 64bit version, but the sp i have is a custom one put together by someone i know so it has a fair few vista elements i'd want to keep like core monitor tools etc, Will have to have a think and see if can have the upper ram limit confirmed for the 32bit version Thanks mate :)
  19. Yeah Thank's thats kind of the issue i'm having According to Microsoft, if your RAM exceeds 2GB, the excess amount will be used only by Windows kernel and therefore the report from Control Panel is correct in that it is reporting only the usable RAM for applications :( I just dont want to upgrade to 64bit xp or w7 yet !! I've tried a forced 3GB switch by editing the boot.ini file by opening the "System Properties" and looked at the ram timings in BIOS all to no avail so apart from upgrade i think it's just a 32bit xp issue ?? :( Chris
  20. Yeah there was one for the Z31, you do see the odd z32 manual on ebay (just not haynes) :)
  21. Just wondered if anyone still on 32 bit xp is running more than 3gb of ram ? Thanks Chris
