Sorry to dissapoint, but I cant actually buy for approx 8-12 weeks, If your Z is still on he market at that time Deano, I will definately have to consider yours, it does look very clean and tidy, and the few subtle mods do make it appealing :) It's looking as though an import car wont cost as much on insurance as I first thought, so really any Z is a consideration :) Grrr, just gotta wait now :(

martinfa, that is a very very sleek ride you go there! Plus, no spoiler so an extra thumbs up from me! I really dont like spoilers! and wide arch too... you done it all right :) Out of interest, how much did that bodywork cost you? and where?

My understanding is that there is going to be a full review of all speed cameras throughout the UK this summer, although im a bit sceptical about how effective this will be considering this review was supposed to be done when each and every camera was implemented...

When i get in my car, close the door, the light starts to dim over about 6 seconds, ignition or not i believe... wouldnt bother me if it was still dimming when turning the ignition, butI'd have to be quick draw Mcgraw to be able to get in and turn my key much quicker!

I presumed it would have this.. My ford probe does, you close the door, and the light fades off slowly, we also have blue lights in the footwells and ignition, key locks etc

Oh I wont be buying it, the mileage discrepancy put me off quite a bit. I really only went to look simply because I havnt driven one before, and it seemed a bit silly me saying that I wanted one when I hadnt driven one. Anyway, the drive was fine, a 300zx is definately for me :) I'll probably look at a few dozen more, and kick myself over a few of them too. Still, you can never look at too many of these beautys!

So I did. It was a 'G' plate import, going for the princely sum of £3795 Anyway, I got there, and well, was dissapointed. The rear hatch had been resprayed, poorly, could see run underneath some cracks. The spoiler had been painted, and was cracked to bits. Still, all trivial. We got to mileage, he says it only has 55k km's on it. Great I thought, till I looked inside, the leather was in real bad condition, I mean real bad. My probe has done 115k miles and the leather is only worn in one place and it is by no means bad. The leather was ripped in many places, and really crumpled. I ask if the miles are genuine, he says "yeah I see your point, Im not sure to be honest". So I drove it, and I loved it. Fortunately no snow down here yet, so I gave it a booting and it was lovely. Anyway, no real question, just quite shocked that this guy wanted 4k for it... I mean, it wasnt in good condition, and OK its a twin turbo, but really, 4k for a 14 year old car? am I wrong to expect it to be in near mint condition for that money? *shrug* :)

Do they all come with leather interior? what about airbags?

Hi all, Ive been trying to find out what options were available on zx's, i.e. I believe Cruise control isnt standard across the board? Perhaps might be easier to list what the base model hasnt got? I want to make sure that I get the best zx that i can for my money. TIA Adam

Well I spoke to em, they reckon that basically I'll have to play about with spacers to get the ideal fitment, but are fairly sure I'll be OK, no guaruntee though :) Just have to try it and see :D Thanks for the replies guys :D

Hi everyone, first post :) I hope to be getting a Z soon, I currently drive a v6 ford probe, and have a set of CAM 264 Alloys, 18", with 235/35 tyres on. Could anyone tell me if my PCD 114.3 and offset 38 will be OK with the Z ? Also, is there anything to look out for when buying one? I would ideally like a manual twin turbo, how rare are they (like supra rare or what?) With my budget, 3-7k on car, totalling up to 10k with mods, How much should I expect to achieve with that money? Good to see a good forum for the 300zx, thats one of the plus points of owning a ford probe ;) (great forum) Over and out :) Adam
