  1. that one looks like am mr2 replica too small
  2. but what i am proposing just requires the removal of the tailgate NO cutting or strenghening required. pic 1 real cabrio pic 2 what im proposing i added the side windows cos thats whats left on a swb when tailgate removed pic1 still with the t bar roof and glass panels no need to cut and shut the back canvas window can be removed when removing targas to give a full convertible feel. all the cost involved is to fabricate a fibreglass copy of pic ones rear and fabrication of rear screen
  3. any other thoughts on this probable to mod a tailgate tub
  4. ok not good at speed psp but here goes the window at the back can be removed for that full convertable feel but still retaining the targas so no need to cut and shut
  5. so does the rag top then rich ! the idea was to show the position ect you cheeky sod
  6. dont wanna piss anyone off with this but its like the tailgate tub at the z centre but with a removable canvas window ect is it really that hard to explain the pic is a quick drawing paul come on mate :(
  7. cheers greg phew i thought i was on my own for a minute pic to explain my logic what i was on about was the red section replacement cover eg like the convertible and the green bit a canvas window for quick fitment in carparks ect for the summer
  8. what chassis cutting  none involved as i said before the tailgate tub sold at the z centre replaces the original tailgate, and you could leave the t bar for the targas in. what im saying is a fibreglass cover the same shape as the ragtops! for the summer to replace the tailgate.
  9. sorry to hijack but is it worthwhile fitting an oil cooler to the manual box as i thought is was only for the autos. if so how easy is it to do cheers gaz
  10. ok i will stick to the other crap thats posted on here then!! its a thought ,an idea and something relevent to the z to talk about rather what hand you wipe your arse with  what i was trying to get at is the rear boot area on the z is pratically the same . a fibreglass version could be made up and hinged in the same place as the convertible to give the boot. the second panel which flips up to hide the lowered hood could also be made of fibreglass. the rag top would obviously have to be professionally made (costly) the t bar section could be kept wouldn't look that much different any how the only real issue is the rear quater window. if we all gave up at the first hurdle none of our cars would be modified past an airfilter. i don't actully like the look of the ragtop with its top up! but for the summer if someone had a garage to keep it in over night a fabricated panel to replace the tailgage to possibly simulate the idea of a full convertable is my line of thought
