As Graham has said, sounds like you have a binding brake Do the above tests, you will definatly feel the difference in temp so watch your fingers.lol

Agree with you on all that, i have seen that Z about a year ago, it was owned by someone in cornwall, it was not to bad but not mint, dunno what its like now though.

Buy a decent clutch ! nothing wrong with the manual box, that will hold more power than you will ever have ;)

New clutch plate minimum needed then. Lisa'a lasted about the same, but hers smelt all the time as well.
