Its cheaper to keep them on a car than put them on retention every year. The vehicle has to have an MOT to enable you to transfer to another vehicle. There are lots of very expensive plates on vehicles with no mot and far beyond economical repair !

Thats what they are designed for a mate, not all chaved up and cant mount the curb with one cause the big chrome alloys with low profile tyres get in the way... lol

So if DVLA have say put a K plate on an import that was manufactered in 1992 but imported 1998 you cannot have a plate newer than a K unless DVLA messed up and say put a R reg on it ?
