  1. This is true, I can see from the pictures I'm seeing around the forum. Be cool to meet up and see a car or two, would it be better to get Christmas out the way first and then arrange something? It's very nice that three offers to meet up have come in so quickly, really appreciate that :)
  2. Oh my word, that is beautiful!!
  3. Wow, she's an absolute beauty!! Might give me a false sense of hope seeing that one first!! If you have the time in the coming weeks that would be fantastic!
  4. Hi, hope everyone is well! I joined back in 2008 when looking to buy a Z32 and ended up getting a completely different car for some reason. I've currently got a Juke which runs out of lease in April so I'm looking to get another car sorted in the next couple of months and decided that now really is the time for some Zed! What I'm wondering and hoping is similar to another recent thread from someone else, is that if anyone is local enough and willing that they'd let me see their car and show me what they are all about as I've never been inside one before or heard one go or such like. I think given that I've wanted one for years, it would make sense to have a closer look before actually buying one! I did this some time ago with the SXOC when looking for an S13 and after a very helpful guy gave a demo, I promptly got my first one :) I'm really wanting a UK car and preferable a manual but seeing an auto wouldn't make any difference to the aim. I live in Kendal, work in Lancaster and travel to see family between there and Newcastle so can be easy on the areas of seeing one, though Kendal/Lancaster is more frequent and better. I'd love to finally get my hands on one of these awesome cars, would be really great and appreciated if anyone has the time to show me their car sometime. Many thanks, Steve
  5. Never ever fancied an auto of any type of car, it's the first thing I look for in adverts, once I see the word, I close it and move on :-)
  6. I could never have an auto, that is my number one thing to not have, it has to be manual all the way, even for a couple of weeks! I'd have either to be honest, N/A or Turbo, I'm not fussed either way about massive performance, I just want a nice clean straight car.
  7. Could do yeah but the looks are a lot of the appeal of it! I know once I got it I'd never change the parts over. Maybe the best thing is to ask someone I know in that area if they can pop and take a look, go from there :-)
  8. I'm really liking that white one, just fathoming out if I'd rip the bumpers off on my driveway entrance which has quite a sharp slope to it as you first go up the path.
  9. On another note, how easy would it be to swap out the interior from the black zed from that tan leather to black leather? Straight swap job? Would anyone be interested in swapping their leather for this tan leather? Jeff, that is a very good offer and if I don't find one very soon, I might just take you up on that, hugely appreciated :-)
  10. The black one is out, the missus HATES that interior!! She likes the white one though....
  11. I don't have a zed yet but spoke to Jeff today about a car that had been serviced at his place and they were absolutely fantastic, full of information and nothing was too much bother to find out for me and answer. Really impressive :-)
  12. I'm sorry, I'm not trying to irritate people or come with any opinion, all I know is what I've been told. It's not everyday I can go and spend a whack of money on a new toy so I just want to get it right. I appreciate though I can here to ask the advice from the boys on the front line as it were, so I can understand you want me to listen to what is being said by the people who own these cars :-) Yes I do want the performance but I also just want a car I can enjoy and be proud of.
  13. The differing opinions is a hard to fathom out for me. A guy I know who has a PS13 and was going to buy a 300zx TT was told by all his tuner buddies not to touch a TT because the engine is a nightmare etc etc. Decisions eh.
  14. I have a feeling my missus won't like the interior but I love it. I showed her similar colour seats in an M3 the other day and she didn't like them at all. I'm liking the black one again!
  15. More info on the black one: The engine was indeed changed by ourselves, previous to us fully maintaining the owner car had a "mate" change his cambelt and water pump unfortunately the water pump was a very poor copy and failed whilst he was on the motorway and overheated the engine, the subsequent internal damage left it was more cost effective to replace the engine rather than repair his own. The trader who sold him the dodgy water pump has since ceased trading amid many complaints etc. The engine was supplied by us and so items such as the cambelt were all new at that time, so the service schedule for the engine starts from that time and mileage Hope that helps
  16. Gotta say, after all the cars I've been looking at including all sorts of other makes and models, that white one is the first car that I've really really liked and can't see a reason to not like. The engine swap makes me worry about the black one. Same sort of price. Is it to be 1999 spec or much earlier white one but great spec and smashing example. Hmmmm.
  17. Interesting info from Zedworld on the black one: Yes can confirm we used to look after that car, it is a Non Turbo Manual with an E.C.U upgrade, H.I.D fitted, It was serviced on a regular basis, The last time it was here 15/06/09 mileage in km 156,262 oil & fuel filter changed. M.O.T 07/02/09 nothing was picked up on this. We have the full service history on our Data base. The person who owned it before did not do a lot of miles. If I was you try knocking them down to at least £5,500
  18. Thanks so much for the links, that is really helpful. The yellow one is lovely but I 'm not digging those rims to be honest, I like the way it does look really clean though. Not tampered with, just straight. I'm not into that big spec one though with the wing etc, deffo not me. The white one however, is ticking me fancy. I'm liking the style of that rather a lot and although it's been played with a lot, it sounds like it's all good. I could well be interested in this one, rather a lot :-)
  19. Can you point me to what you'd say were the special examples currently? Only clauses are it must be manual, must have leather, must be 2+2 and must be targa tops!!
  20. Oh the TT thing, a mechanic mate told me he's seen loads of TT through the garage with problems and another guy who knows Nissans really well told me to avoid also. I've emailed the chap at zedworld about the black one, if it checks out, it's very very interesting indeed.
  21. Cheers for that, I guess my own actions could be my downfall here, I'm quite a lazy buyer. I tend to spot exactly what I want and go and get it without looking at other stuff. My theory was to avoid all the cheaper ones and try to pick out something very nice. You know occassionally a car pops up on a club where it's really well known the club and when it goes up for sale, everyone goes holy sheet, you can't sell that it's the best thing on four wheels etc. I figured if I just bought that sort of car, all would be well and save me trailing the country for cars I don't really want.
  22. Deep down, I am a boosty fan. I've had a couple of 200sx and had a boosted Primera too. I have a boosty car now aswell and for the smashing noises, I would generally prefer a TT. Not just one boosty joy, but two. I know little about these. I take it they are two stage, one comes in primary then the other later up the revs? I can just feel it in my bones that I'd buy a TT and have to replace both turbos within a week.
  23. I bet yeah, not trying to stir up any bother mind!! :-) I was told that they are a nightmare to work on, bottom end trouble, electrical problems and for all the bother, not worth it over the n/a. I was all set for buying a Legacy RSK until I seen this black one and thought mmmm hello!
  24. Ah so it's been up a while and not selling, that is interesting in itself. It is the NA model I want, I've been told to steer clear of the TT models.
  25. Thanks, would you pay six for it if it checks out to be a good one?
