Plugs within the last 6 months with cam belt etc, where is the FPR located? Im also wondering if this is linked to the intermitent misfire.

Today the 300 would not start again!!!! This is the second time in a few weeks. Basically this car starts on the button everytime but now twice the car just turns over and will not fire, strong smell of fuel (not leaking) more like it floods instantly. After a few minutes of turning over she fires into life with a ploom of unburnt fuel coming out of the exhaust. Any ideas ? PS non turbo SWB manual. Thaks Dave

I took the MAF out today and cleaned very carefully and it seems to have stopped misfire, I will run it for the next couple of days and if its not sorted I will replace MAF and PTU. Its actually the bottom of a bucket I noticed today (not that it makes a great deal of differance) the are drain holes in it though. Thanks for the response guys Dave

For those that dont know I have just purchased my old Short wheel base N/A manual back. It has had a slight misfire since getting it back, this happens more when the car is sat ticking over for a couple of minutes and when I go to pull away it takes a few seconds to clear. Today when I went to leave work the car fired briefly and then just turned over and would not fire, very strong smell of fuel although I did not touch the throttle. Normally the car fires into life instantly with the engine not even turning over once. Im guessing this may be MAF but wanted some advice, I have added a couple of pics of an after market filter which has been on the car for years. Should I try to get a standard airbox back on the car? no other mods other than exhaust. Your help will be appreciated once again. Dave

This is the platsic thing on the rear of the drivers door lock and its beyond repair. I have seen the tech fix but Im worried if I use the passenger one and the same thing happens in the future Im stuffed for getting in the car. So does anyone have one of these for sale or know anywhere that I may be able to get one? Its the drivers side and Yellow. Thanks Dave

I was unsure but couldn't afford the later spec rears, to be honest Im pleased with the way it looks and it never broke the bank.

Thank you. I cant take credit for the seats as they were in the car when I imported it 6 years ago I would however prefer a bit of leather if Im honest. The lights, hoses and side repeaters came from the Z centre, been messed about with in the past with suppliers and told them I had the mechanic booked for tomorrow morning to fit the new hoses and they assured me they could get them to me today and didn't let me down which means I will be able to drive it agagin tomorrow afternoon:thumbup1: I think next thing on the list will be getting the wheels stripped and refurbed as they look a bit tired now.

Just ordered some 13" x 6.5" so should look much better.

My two new silicone hoses arrived today along with some new rear lights and clear side repeaters, just wanted to tidy up and get the Z looking a bit more up to date. Also added some pics of inside. Dave

Dont intend to sell it on again, just purchased some clear repeaters and Crystal rear lights along with two silicone front hoses that are leaking at the moment. My plans once my divorce and house is sorted is to get the wheels acid dipped and get them repainted with black centres and polished rims and to get the whole thing blown over in original colour so it looks fresh again, the front seats are recaros with Nismo stitched into them (these were done in Japan. Depending on finances I wouldn't mind putting a later front bumper on and side skirts but I will have to wait and see. Cheers for the comments. Dave

Just a quick question, I have Plasma dials fitted bot want to change the normal dash bulbs for LED. Yep thats the bit, on another note I had the water leak looked at today and its def one of the two short hoses at the front of the engine. Cheers Dave

I am in Horsham. Basically its like a cam on the rear of the key barrel that has a hole in it that a rod sits in. When you turn the key the cam spins round and pulls or pushes the rod to lock or unlock. The bit of plastic has got brittle over age and broken. Hope this makes more sense Dave

Anyone know of anywhere West Sussex area breaking 300s? Im after a stupid egg shaped bit of plastic on the rear of the drivers door lock, its broken so Im unable to unlock from drivers side and I have to keep unlocking pass door and leaning over. Thanks Dave
