  1. Nismo do some rubber ones which is a good comprimise between comfort and stiffness, not fitted them yet as they took a while to come from Japan. Pricey at 80 quid though.
  2. no problem mate. I really need to sort out the cause as i'm sure i'll eventually break something else doing this lol
  3. I get this every now and then. A swift thump on top of the instrument panel wakes the needle up.
  4. It did get better as I drove but I think it's probably on original shocks. Next upgrade me thinks
  5. Took my Z to be MOT'd today after being garaged for a year and a half and passed with only one advisory on a slightly binding caliper from it not being used! I even told the tester I wasn't hopefull as its now in for rear sill renovation and to fit a fuel tank and straps. Not bad for a UK spec, felt a bit wobbly at speed though for part of the journey
  6. Hi, I'm trying to install my boost jets and split the hose as they are a bit brittle at the ends. Does anyone know what diameter hose it is?
  7. I would be more pissed off with the pot holes not the product. When you change from the manufacturers chunky rubber bushed components to lighter, adjustable stiffer items designed for the track, on our roads you run a higher risk of failure. Suspension is next on my list and will just have to accept the risk of the same happening.
  8. Mine is still off the road. :crying:
  9. Not sure if this link has been posted before and not able to take a look just yet but i'm guessing the old skyline hicas is the same as the 300zx? I've been wanting to get shot of the anoying hicas light on the dash without having to just remove the bulb and loose the ability to warn me of low power steering fluid  http://forums.gtrcanada.com/showthread.php?t=20736
  10. Awesome guys, thanks! Looks like i'll be doing its 120000 mile service early then
  11. yes it leaks when cold filling it back up, its a fairly major leak. It just seemed to suddenly go on the A27 and it was pissing down with rain!
  12. I've checked around the radiator area and it is dry. Its directly on the front of the engine somewhere and leaks when the engine isn't running. Can the water pump leak whilst filling up the rad?
  13. Had to get the AA out last wednesday returning from work as my car decided to spill all of its coolant. I've only just been able to get round to finding the leak. There felt like a tiny leak around a small hose above the water pump but didn't seem like it would cause the amount of fluid collecting on the under tray. Bearing in mind the car hadn't been started since Wednesday and I tried filling the radiator up without running the engine, would coolant leak from the small pipes from the heads or water pump from just filling up the system? Seems like something has ruptured badly!
  14. I was walking to the Tesco's by Hampden park station crossing at lunch today. Makes mine look like a wreck! Was a Jap spec J-reg and had a high level spoiler. Very clean
  15. I should be poping over to Mark's place around 3pm tomorrow if your around. Be the first time i've seen other 300's around here :)
  16. cool, will do. I'll see if he's around this weekend
  17. yeah, thats right. I'll have to go round and have a look at some point
  18. My mate Mark was about to buy one, not sure on colour or if he did buy it as I've been away all weekend. He lives in Limbrick lane and was getting him to sign up on here
  19. 2 million if you give up work and want to keep a zed and have holidays :)
  20. I would buy an aftermarket oil cooler and pump or get hold of a UK spec one as it was there for a good reason even with standard boost. Your be safe with daily driving blanking it off but if you do any track days or lots of fast road use your loose reliability in my opinion.
  21. Cheers! Found the web site, never knew it existed.
  22. Where in Crawley did you have this done and how much?
  23. I get this too. I try and not use the turbo's when cold, but im guessing its slight wear on the turbo shaft thats only apparent when cold
  24. Might attempt to rip up mine and have a look, Just had one side rear sill done and I found some underseal that had come away further up front on the floor pan :(
  25. I would check the wiring behind the door card if the mirror looks undamaged. When I bought my car the previous owner said the mirror was knocked off and replaced but hadn't wired it up. When I went to sort it out I discovered the mirror had one wire less then the loom had. I think the UK and Jap ones are different and guessed he sourced a Jap one without heater.
