Happy Birthday Naf68
My other half got me one of those race days and my crowning moment was sitting up the arse end of a Lamborghini Gallardo in a Porsche Cayman. Absolutely awesome fun, I'd say go for the Porsche as I'm biased, other than that, it'd be the Lambo for me, gotta love the sound of those engines.

FAO Jason Farrow!
Yes, been aware of her for quite a while and what a lovely sexy voice she has, and she's not a control freak like the old witch was.

14 years olds...
I must say, his little slip road dash was quite impressive in a Touran no less. Still, least they caught the little git, could have killed someone. Not so bad if it's only himself he kills but got to think of the innocent people.

New member, looking for advice
Considering I'm just over 1k p/a for my Accord I don't think an extra 400 a year is bad at all considering how much cheaper it is than my other quotes, I've had a damn good shop about today and Sky is coming in at the cheapest so far. But yeah, gonna keep my eyes peeled till such time as I actually physically pay the cash for a 300. And yes Berrica, I'll still be along for the meet.

Sorry to double post but I felt a wee update was needed. Had a call about insurance companies today and Sky came in the cheapest at: £1400, great thing is, the price was the same for either a UK or a Jap model so this really opens up the horizons for me. Just gotta keep my eye on Honda till they say it's okay to punt the Accord then I can get myself a new toy!

this is it
Ironically I had a blue R32 pull out behind me on the way home tonight, just a pity whoever owned it had decided to stick obscene amounts of plastic to the body and totally ruin the looks... I don't mind a tasteful and subtle bodykit but this thing just looked like it had reversed into Halfords covered in loctite. Such a shame, really like the R32's stock lines.

Once and for all. Its not for sale
Look I don't even had a 300 yet, surely my dibs count most?

May meeting / road trip
That would be great, but definately count me in for popping along, would be great to get a good look so I know what to look for and/or avoid.

Once again, thanks for all the information folks, I'll be giving some insurance companies a ring tomorrow to see what I can do in terms of UK/Jap spec insurance, I'm going to start drawing up a shortlist of exactly what I want and then get properly hunting. Biggest issue is currently finding out when Honda want me to hand back my Accord as I've managed to get them to agree to end my contract on it due to the number of problems I've had with this piece of crap.

May meeting / road trip
Hey folks, Would anyone mind if I came up for a bit? This would be a great opportunity for me to get a look at some 300's and have a chat with some owners before buying my own.

Thanks! Really desperate to get my hands on one but I've set myself a time frame that means I can sit and look at a few and pick one I know is right.

To be honest, not really, I've taken a note of some numbers from the insurance thread specifically for Adrian Flux and Sky insurance, gonna give em a call and get a rough quote. Just easier for me to get insurance if it's a UK model or an import which is "identical" to the UK spec.

Will do, thanks for the advice, much appreciated. This won't be the first "classic" car I've owned. I've had a look through the Buying a Z link StellaZ posted and that's certainly given me quite a few things to look for, so I'll just add "rust" onto the list. Hell I've got rust on my current 2005 Accord Type-S, can't believe it! (one of the reasons I'm parting with it, the other being it's a bit slow)

I don't have permissions to view that thread, probably because I'm not a "paid" member, but no point in doing that till I've got a 300! I'll more than likely be using this site to buy one now, I'm willing to travel basically anywhere to get my hands on a good example so I'll be sure to keep the advice in mind and ask someone on here to come with me for a look.

Woohoo! This keeps getting better and better! Now I just need to get rid of my current car and then find myself a 300!

This I can see, does look awesome though! I'm really liking the leather interior, determined to get one with leather, not too keen on the tweed at all.

New member, looking for advice
Hey folks, I've had a good look about the forum and can't see anywhere specific to post this sort of thread so here goes. I've signed up today basically because I'm looking to pick up my first 300zx within the next 2 to 3 months. I've had a good look about and a good search but I'm only finding myself more and more confused. :( I've seen terms banded about like LWB/SWB: Which I assume means Long Wheel Base and Short, respectively, but I can't actually find out what the difference is. I'm not sure what a slick top is nor what the difference between a Targa and a T-Bar is... ARGH! So really, the point of my post is this: With a 5k budget what realistically should I be looking to get? I'd love to get a Uk spec TT as at 23 insuring a J-spec import is unreasonably expensive. The insurance isn't much of an issue so long as I keep it UK spec as I have a family member who works for a large insurance broker and I get a healthy family discount. So any and all help would be greatly appreciated and if this has been posted to the wrong section then I apologise but I just didn't know where else to go and/or look for this kind of help. Thanks.
