  1. Glad to hear your enjoying it mate. You waited long enough to get the right one and have it done up. Cant beat that summer top down feeling :)
  2. LOL I only use the 3M stuff mate. I have four different grades from a heavy cut to a fine finishing compound. Did detailing with swirl/scratch correction for a year or so for some extra income I know I thing or two about it ;)
  3. You wouldnt use either of them without a polishing compound anyway
  4. The silverline rotarys are fine, amazon did the soft start one for £23~ a while ago dont know if you can still get them? Wouldnt bother with the DA from halfords, will take you all week to do half a car.
  5. Diablo my all time fav car. Stunning
  6. Interesting, what car where they on?
  7. Well done, looks a nice motor that! Dont know it though?
  8. If I had the time, the equipment and know how......oh and a Zed :D I'd buy and fit these just to see how long they last. Interesting. Wonder if Jeff has come accross these cheapo units before fitted and has an opinion?
  9. 6 WEEKS!!!!! What do you do? Put the tyres in a vacume sealed bag after treating them lol
  10. What? LOL Where did I say fuel costs dont relate to others? I was making the point that everything else in the world has more than doubled in 14 years. Why should fuel be any different? i can't believe you don't understand that! ;)
  11. You say that, but the monthly shop of £300 is now £600. Its all relevent.
  12. Prices for everything in the 14 years I've been driving have more than doubled. Bread Milk Houses Cars Sweets Shoes etc etc etc (can think of anything that hasn't) Petrol has only just caught up with everything else so I dont really see it as being over priced? Wages have not caught up with everything costing more so of course it hurts, but I dont feel petrol stands out as something thats gone through the roof compared to every other thing we buy?
  13. Not true, on either account :tt2:
  14. Blended skirts  So many dont bother having it done and always looks cheap and unfinished to me. Well done :duffer: Love the colour choise too :)
  15. I believe it was missplaced good faith with the first buyer that he would give Stu the plate back.
  16. The plate is registered to a car, if you sell the car the plate goes with it unless you unregister it.
  17. You wouldnt say that with the one that delt with me! Christ she was like a bulldog chewing a wasp  But she was fair and did her job properly so shouldnt bad mouth her.
  18. Had exactly the same a couple of years ago in a Mondeo, got pulled and argued that I was insured and they should call Auto Trader to confirm. At that point the copper got all shirty and smug spouting AutoTrader are a sales firm not insurers and that I was wasting their time with lies. So I pulled up the site on the phone and showed him, he was asked to go away by the woman copper there and she delt with me for the rest of it and found that the numbers were transposed, should have read something like Y635 GHT but actually read Y365 GHT.
  19. but im not talking about others. I'm talking about me ;)
  20. If I'm honest if it was me buying the car now I would want to keep the plate (on the car). To me its now part of Silver Streak as much as the bodykit and paint is, it has no longer become an identifiable mark of Stu, more a mark of Silver Streak.
  21. Dude, its four owners on from you. Just say sorry you cant help and direct them here instead. Its not your issue by a long shot.
  22. Happy St. Patrick's day to all the Irish out there :) :duffer: And all you English out their celebrating today you sure as hell better be raising your glasses for St. Georges Day next month or shame on you!
  23. LOL yeah I'm sure he does it during track time  co shis team would let him do that :stupid:
