Just as a thought, how would you get any gearbox to put the power down, in all mid engine kitcars the engines and boxes are not bespoke thy are taken form other front engine cars and adapted, why cant this be dont with a zed engine/box?

Anyone ever built a chassis to their own design, and built a car from the ground up? Just mucking about Im toying with the idea of geting a manwel zed thats been rear ended and ripping it apart and building my own kitcar. Doesn't have to be road leagal. would be my own chassis design and body style. Would be mid engined and the chassis a cross between gt40 and diablo. Inside would put a Zed dash and not sure how the outside would look (sh1t most likely :D ). What are your thoughts???

Yup if you just want to shoot clays you just need a shotgun licence and thats easy to get, most other stuff will require a full firearms licence which are harder to come by these days :rant: Best first step is to find a club you like and join it, then buy yourself a good gun cabnet then apply for your licence.

Im my opinion even the claimed "low mile" cars have 100k miles + on them. Ignore what your odomiter says, zeds are far too easy to clock.

New after market front bumper, BLENDED skirts, remove spoiler, remove rear wiper, aftermarket nose pannel, respray. KYB adjustable shocks, Ebiach springs, adjustable upper and lower arms, Smithy big brake kit, Strut Braces. Mongoose exhaust (or similar), decat, t28 roller turbos, boost controler, Apexi intake, 555 injectors + chip, dump valves, under drive pully, koyo rad, hard pipe kit and shiney things. Anything left over I would spend on making the inside looking good.

Dont agree with that at all. EVERY new turbo will require the same tests to know what it flows and how etc etc. so why again should one be twice the cost of another?? Just one of those things eh! :duffer: Cheers guys

Just a thought. Why does one turbo cost a grand or more than the next? The cost of producing them can’t vary THAT much surely? Bigger housing etc = more materials, yes but not a grand’s more! 90% I would have thought are put together the same way? So just wondering why there is such a huge difference in prices?

Just work out whats more important to you fella. Your house/livelyhood or the Zed? Yeah you'll only get a few grand for it but thats a good few months of mortgage you know is covered. But as they say "The choise, is yours!"

Well spring is sort of here and nice days for dusting the Zed off from the winter are closing fast! Ive got/recieved some ideas about what to do this year in the south east but lets have some more! Will be normal meets + BBQ's + runs to the sea side + some trips to theme parks! So come on, help me out and let me know what you wannt do! :smash:
