decided against the boat trips as they were a little pricey (well, lets say Nim decided against them :mad: :p ) had a lovely ice cream from the parlour out front - milkshakes were nice too. cant stand seafood so my choices were limited when we decided to eat along the marina front. steak Portugeses was good, as were the omelettes and pizzas. on our last night we couldnt sleep cos of the heat and noise outside. really gasping for water (never drink the tap water there!) so i decided to go to the top floor of our hotel (Hotel Globo) where the bar is to get myself a drink. made it to the top of the stairs, only to find they hadn't actually built the bar yet :rofl: :rofl: so i had to get my trainers on and go down the road to one of the newsagents to get a bottle of water. ...and the buggers have got 98-RON!! :rant: :rant: where did you stay Daz or did you just visit for the day?

thanks guys. got back 3 hours ago. had a fantastic holiday - weather was perfect - clear blue skies, hot sun, but nice and cool at ground level. explored Portimao, visited Pria du Rocha (spelling), Alberfore (spelling) and Alvore (got that one right). drank plenty of Super Bock and Sagres :duffer: :duffer: :duffer: , but burger me guess what i bumped into after about 10 mins of leaving the hotel on the first day!?!?!?! cherry-red left-hand drive manual TT. in very good nick, except the chinning (high kerbs everywhere!)

err lol it turned out it was part VTC springs/part bottom end. that was sorted ages ago. now the whole fooking thing is being rebuilt (along with a few toys ;) )

just received this email from one of the chaps who runs the day: hi dave we are still making money for on your marks , as the auction is on at the moment, but it looks like to be about £20,000 to be given away at the end of the day , what a good day it was , we had a ball , and david walton was over the moon , he has given us the date for next year sunday the 10th aug 2008 he was that impressed, he said it was the best organised track day he has ever had, big prase from him!!!!, with no complaints from anyone. as soon as we have a final figure we will let you know, regards john cracking result! thats £4k more than last year. see you next year (and next time i might have my monster ready to eat up the track :cool: )

Lol, this is the third sighting of a gunmetal grey TT in the same area in two weeks - all driven by different people :confused: not sure if its the same Z or not although im pretty sure they're all G-plates. unfortunately im in my dad's 214 at the moment so you wont have seen me :p dark-skinned driver near Countesthorpe couple of weeks ago, bald white guy with goatee on Monday near Narborough, now white girl near Cosby. stop messing with me, who are you? are you the same person? :rofl:

as above, i think the ps3 is a better machine, but software houses are rushing out crap games just to make sales out of it. im waiting for a while until some decent games come out (Colin McRae DiRT looks like its gonna be good, but im going to sell my bell-end for GT5! :bow: )
