hey guys just wanted to pick your brains , i got the engine in zed plumbed it in and it runs as sweet as a nut......however i took it for a spin the other day and when i booted it up a hill it hit bout 5500rpm then backfired with some impressive pops but then appeared to cut out and lose power. it came back to life at about 3000 and off again till it hit 5500 then same thing. a friend suggested a fuel issue maybe filter does that sound about right?

Hi guys just a quick one! My zed is almost ready but yesterday I removed my battered water logged spoiler with a view to replacing it , however I like the look of the back end without it! I've seen a panel on zcentre to fill the gap but was wondering how the handling will be affected. How much downforce do they produce and if I remove it do I need to add a diffuser or splitter to make up for it! Any advice is most appreciated cheers!

mine did this today just as a bobbie pulled along side me on a dual carraigeway !!!worse still mines auto and tried to take off so i switched to neutral and it redlined and by now my a@&e fell out so i turned engine off and ripped all the wires out my turbo timer lol copper was a bit of a petrol head though and fairly understanding!!! pushed the pipe back in and and the 2 x vac pipes it blew off and jobs a good un.

not sure where the carbon can is! this pipe sucks when engine runs though, is it essential or can i block it to seal? the engine idols slow unless its sealed

sorry pics are a no no phone arsin about but its on the right when lookin from the front at the back of balance bar at 90o angle pointin to bulkhead about 4 inch along the pipe if thats any help

hey guys ! well the zed is almost ready to rock after months of turmoil its had new piston and rings, new timing belt, new water pump head gaskets etc .....how ever i have a pipe missing on the right hand side of the balance bar, looks like a small breather but not sure where it goes! any ideas cheers

hi guys think im gonna throw in the towel on this one as im struggling to get my head round all the wiring and piping in the engine bay, i bought the zed half stripped with a blown h/gasket i managed to get the engine back in( with the aid of some vaseline and a shoehorn) but now im stuck!!! anyone know a good garage that could do the finishing touches at a reasonable price!!! just needs the sensors and coilpacks plugging in and all the little vac/water and fuel pipes plumbing up! cheers

hi guys i finally got lump back in the hole and started all the plunbing but im now struggling with electrics!!! the guy that i gopt the zed off started stripping it before i got it and he hasnt labelled any p[lugs so i need some help trying to figure out which plug goes on which coil pack and injectors plus the added bonus of 2 x lambda sensors 2 x camsensors and a knock sensor and a partridge in a pear tree! anyone got any diagrams or pics or a magic wand lol all input is greatfully recieved!!! help

hi chaps just wondering if anyone knows where the wastegate actuater mounts up to on left bank. its the last little thing to do b4 i can drop the lump back in and try and figure where all that wiring goes lol cheers

whats cas unit? i havent got a pic but its a half shaft pokin out looks like a bust bolt but its on my other spare cam aswell!

hi guys just wondering iof anyone can help. im rebiulding my tt 300 and there appears to be a drive on my inlet cam right bank. i didnt strip this so im not sure whats missing. does anyone know what it is and what it looks like cos i got a big box of spare so it should be in that. thanks batesy

so does anyone know a good supplier for a cheap (ish) gasket set then cos i dont want to go through the trauma of havin to remove the lump again lol

afternoon gents, finally picked up my zed last week and now im worried about what ive let myself in for lol i need to get a head set plus water pump who's the best supplier for spares? also need a back section of exhaust as some tit binned the quads and put a big silly jap bin lid style thing! any ideas of who and how much?

yeah i think ill do the lot, not looking foward to rebuild though as it wasnt me that stripped the engine 12 months ago lol. oh well we'll see how it goes but think ill prob end up on here all day picking peoples brains lol the car comes tomorrow so ill take some pics and share my nightmare with you. !!!!

hi guys i'm new to the site but i was wondering if i could pick your brains! i just bought a 91 300 turbo with a blown head gasket. the gent i bought it off started stripping it but was told if his head gasket went he would need to replace piston rings aswel!!! sounds a bit suss so i asked him if he'd boiled the knackers off it and he said no. has anybody else heard of replacing ring just cos a head gasket went. all comments greatly recieved.thanks batesy
