  1. Cheers Andrew I'll sort them both then.
  2. Cheers Jeff, Thought it was you ;)
  3. Greetings, I vaguely remember reading on here somewhere (think it may have been by JeffTT) that if you pull the vac pipe off the fuel damper that it shouldn't smell of fuel. When I pull mine, with the engine off, it stinks of fuel! Can someone confirm that it is that damper that is knackered before I order a new one, if i can find one. Cheers
  4. I was meant to go today with a mate in his MG but couldn't get myself up early enough  Quite often the car park is better than the event itself! I might try and get up for the Jap one in October
  5. I think it's very difficult to get a 'one size fits all' answer to getting folks to subscribe. As you can see I'm not a prolific poster but I've been around for quite a while. We all tend to use owners clubs/forums differently. Maybe if you can find out what most members use the club for it may help with the answer in how to attract more to subscribe. I tend to use the help & advice section and the great database for searching to resolve problems. Some of the build threads are great but I'm not really interested in 'who's got the shiniest car' etc, I've been to a few meets over the years and would probably do a few more. In the past group buys and traders discounts were really great ways to give people the feeling that they were getting value for money. Because there was a larger membership questions got answered quickly and there was a much more active For Sale section as well. Now I pay my subs to help the club but if I was new to the scene I'm not sure I would see enough value to it.
  6. Yep that's right. Dipped beam on and main beam off and vice versa

Yep it was our first show in years as well. Damn shame about the weather but it was good to put a few names to faces, and to look around Beaulieu. Still, the rain made my paintwork look so much better. They always say never buy a car in the rain!

Change of plan for us. I will be leaving a bit later, and following a mate in his mx5, so probably driving very slowly  Reckon I won't be arriving until about 10am so I'm not sure if I will be able to get on the club stand.
  9. I had this problem last week. It was the connections on the bulb holder that were badly corroded not the bulb itself. Here's a link with a fix to the problem I had https://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?173675-Main-beam-bulb-tech-help&highlight=main+beam+bulb
  10. I did mine earlier this week for mot. The bulb lit without having to replace it into the housing. Mine's a jdm with a 2 pin H3C bulb. If yours is a uk it may be different.
  11. Well Ok not any condition :). I need a scuttle panel in good condition but if it has the obligatory crack in that's not a problem. I reckon there must be quite a few on here who changed theirs because of the crack but apart from that was in excellent condition. Mine is pretty much destroyed and I need a replacement pronto! cheers
  12. Cheers for the reply Tony. I took it into an exhaust specialist today and he said pretty much the same. Time for a decat! I never got round to doing the AIV delete so this will be a good time to do that as well.
  13. Oh and just to add to the fun I can't get my Datascan to connect to my lap top either!!
  14. Ok, so the day after flying through it's MOT the car has developed an awful noise from the exhaust from around the cat area. It happens when releasing the throttle after accelerating, both on the move and when stationary. Initially I thought that the cat had broken inside it's housing. The problem is it doesn't happen when cold only after being fully warmed up and particularly after a good blast! Can a broken cat only show these symptoms when hot or could it be something more sinister? Here's a link to a sound file of the noise (hope it works), my phone was held near to the centre of the exhaust by the cats https://vocaroo.com/i/s0a6B5VSL3N6 I was getting pretty excited about getting back on the road and was really looking forward to my first meet in years at Simply Japanese, that lasted a whole day
  15. The old girl passed her mot today so we are definitely on for this :thumbup1: I'm guessing that this will be the nearest point for me to meet coming from Surbiton, Surrey?
