  6. Hi guys, Has anyone experienced the oil pressure gauge reading extremely low pressure (e.g. 0-10 psi) on a long journey?? Although it was low I don't think that it was correct, as after booting it/turning off the engine for 5 minutes it sprang back to life... Is the gauge known to be tempremental?? Your thoughts... Ben

  10. Hi All, Can anyone recommend a couple of things for me...? 1. What gauges should I get, oil temp, boost, water temp, etc... 2. Where can I get a hose set from? Samco (something like that). 3. a) Is it as essential, as it seems, to have a seperate oil cooler for my auto gearbox? b) How do I sort this out as I have a UK car, isn't this cooler intergrated into the main rad? Although I have posted this question on the oil cooler before and I know I can search for bits of information on it (although it isn't that clear to me... Am I being thick :slap:  ) I don't feel it was answered fully... Now I own such a great car, I want to keep that way... All help appreciated... Ben
  11. I'd add that you also get the chance to buy parts/mods and great cars!!! :) Ben
  12. As long as someone has got his phone number and house address, just in case, then if I don't get it I can send the boys round ;) Seriously, as long as there is a serious saving and these are definately brand new units, with the additional laser "thingy" and others that have trusted him have got theirs, I suppose you gotta take some risks... Just hope this is a good un!!! Speak soon Ben
  13. Mark, That would be great... Let me know the details and I'll get the money sorted. I take it he wants a cheque? Speak soon, Ben.
  14. Cheers Mark, I did find this link when going through some of the posts on here... Problem is that I stil can't get in contact with Venners, the guy who is organising the deal. I joined the supra forum to try to contact him but I am still waiting for the confirmation email to be able to email or post directly on the site... If you can get the contact detail and either email me or post on here direct I would really appreciate that... I really would like to get in on the deal, these things are Reatiling at nearly £400 and getting it all in at £300 sounds good to me... :) Let me know if you have any luck. Cheers Ben
  15. Fantastic.... Time to order me thinks!!! Cheers Ben
  16. Hi Guys, I've seen and heard a lot of good things about these... I've done a search on forum but I have a question. Does anyone know where I can one cheaper than the RRP. I have seen people on the supra forum getting a good deal but can't get to PM or email them, even when registered... Please let me know as I think this could well save my license!! Cheers Ben
  17. I know quite a few of you have private number plates... Any chance you could give me some guidance? I would like to know what you need to do once you buy a plate. I think it goes something like this... 1. Buy plate 2. Pay DVLA to transfer plate from holding onto car. 3. Get DVLA to stamp on MOT new registration number. 4. DVLA re-issue tax disc (upon recieving old disc) onto new number. Cheers Ben
  18. thanks Stu, After getting your advice I may well get a din pod from the awesome gti store and look at getting new dials from speeding.co.uk (£43 each) What is the best ones to get (e.g. boost, oil temperature, engine temperature, etc...) Once again, some small guidance is appreciated... Cheers Ben
  19. Hi Stu, I was looking at the HKS dials but haven't bought any yet... I know you can get dial pods that fit to the pillar, but quite fancy the idea of having my dials in the centre as I have an empty space. To be honest I'm open to ideas on the make of dials to get and appreicate as much guidance as possible. The cheapest option is to keep an eye on the "for sale" section, but we'll have to see... Anyway, I look forward to your reply... Ben
  20. I've looked at your signature and would like to know a few things... 1. How have you installed those gauges? 2. Where did you get them from ? I don't wish to copy you, but would like some ideas of how to install some gauges myself... Cheers Ben
  21. I've had a quick search on the forum and can't find what i'm looking for... What tyre sizes can you stretch to on the standard alloys? If you cant really go above the standard than I'll start looking for some new 18" ones, but i'd like to know what I can do with the standard first... Cheers guys Ben.

Fair comment... Thanks for sorting that out!! :D Ben
  23. Roy, Firstly - Nice car. The wheels look awesome. Next - Pics, as said above you can use an picture program to change the size an easy one is paint (everyone's got it, unless they're using an Apple Mac). Just change the pic by using the stretch and skew function (e.g. put in 40% instead of 140%). Save the picture, jobs a good un! Lastly - I wish my drive was that big  Cheers Ben

I gave a Supra some thought and was close to buying one... My wife thinks they just have that "wow" appeal. She also thinks a Z has dated looks, but I disagree. I think a Z can be brought bang up to date and can give an on par performance wise to the supra. Obviously, in the end, the supra is the more mod-able car and power hike upto 1000BHP are achiveable, something I have never seen on a 300. One thing to take into consideration is your physical size. I'm 6' 4" and was finding getting in and out of the supra a little bit of a PITA. An RX7 was another consideration, again great drivers cars, performance hikes obtainable, but with two serious question marks. Total cost of ownership (e.g. huge servicing costs) Running costs, at 15MPG not easy on anyone's wallet. It was also a bit of a squeeze to get in. Finally, i'd say it comes down to personal preference. Take one for a drive, a good long one. See whether you like it. Try all the different cars out there (subaru's/rx7's/GTO's/Etc...) At the end of the day you've got to drive it. ;) I'm sure i'll end up eating my own words........ Cheers Ben:rolleyes:
