As some may be aware, my Dutch brother-in-law decided to play lets fook the Zed up day the other month. He hit me from behind and has taken full blame for the accident. I get in touch with my broker to inform them of the accident and they then appointed a solicitor. (The no win, no fee type). I was unaware of the fact somehow they havent used my Norwich Union Insurance policy that they put me with, but used their solicitor. Cutting along story short i had someone come to value the car and damage. I thought it was from the rep from my Brother-in-laws company but it wasn't. It was from mine(as i received the letter today). I have been told the car is a write off and the value is 2000 quid. Minus the scrap value of 200 quid=1800 cheque. I keep the car and get the cheque. But should it be my insurance writing it off?? or should it be my Brother-in laws(cus they are paying!!??) and whats this scrap value???. How come im buying my car back from my insurance broker who i have been paying. I don't get it. Its my car, not theirs. Fooked if i know. bud what did you dremal cus i just got some 6x9s and they aint going in. In fact the only way they would go in is to dremel half the rear inner arch out. :rant:. how big was your magnet??

Well yesterday they came and looked at the Zed for my insurance. Surprise (NOT) that they wrote it off to day. Not economical to fix he said. I was then told i can keep the car and would receive 2 grand to fix it. I was speaking to the guy and i said how do you recone that. He said they use the guide book and look at sites like pistonheads etc to see what they go for. He was on the site when i spoke to him and he was reading out some of the Zeds for sale. There were alot going for a 1000. I was shocked to see how low the value had gone. Fookin govenments fault...bazard petrol prices!!!

Im just asking you peeps whats the better option?? Are 6x9's a good buy or would it be better to buy individual speakers for mid bass etc.... i have tweeters etc but was expanding to put in a sub and speakers. Just confused about what to do for the best. Does anyone know any good sites for installation know hows?? Cheers:nana2:johno

I must admit the older ones look better. Like anything though, i see older cars and i will look and look again. Newer cars i look and think thats nice then think of the price tag. Most the time its the tag that impresses me. Don't get me wrong there are alot of good top cars nowerdays but older is better me thinks!!

My temp reading on my air con is reading wrong. Its always in the 30's. I know there is suppose to be a small box behind the bumper that reads the oncoming air temp but i cant find fook all. It has happend since the recent engine change. It must be hiding somwhere. Has anyone a picture or reference of this mystical box;)
