yeah turbos will be fine but your pistons may cook..... without the right fuel mixture. youve been warned as loads of peeps on here have piston ornaments. im sure il have some soon also.

but does the gear changing and pulling off and on the throttle feel more tight less movement and play?

Well im getting a knocking noise on and off the throttle, not much vibrartion mind you. like a clunk. im positive its not the exhaust, as its very snatchy in gear especially if at low revs like the cars rocking back and forwards........

ok looks like they are going bye byes, but how to bypass? do you just disconnect them and thats it? i wont need to reroute them?

What do they cool down arent they needed?

yeah i read somwwhere about this tb bypass but i dont have a clue what that is?

Thanks andy il give the rocker covers ago meself i thinks.... just needed an expert opinion. yeah i read your posts aaron and it upset me:( probably the same prob im having... and them sprockets are expensive.. damn... so are you driving the car with the leaks? how much oil have hyou got to keep using?? at least the oil always stays clean i suppose :)

yeah i kinda knew that. but i dont know what plugs are fitted at the mo as i havent had a chance to look. Hay andy while your here can i ask you a question????

naaaaaa il do it meself thanks. bugger it. il get a friend to help. im quite mechanically minded so should be easy. but i still think the oil leaking in/on the cam pulleys is something different.

Yep oil just changed. roughly how long a job is it to do? taking of the plenum etc? parts shouldnt be expensive? just gaskets.

And if it isnt that? takes alot of time to get the plenum off and i hate the thought of having lots of little bits and pieces to put back in the correct place.

just serviced it, i had a look at the oil feed pipe on that side there was oil on it but also oil above it. like i said will have to have a look once the oil is clean and i can see where its coming from. wouldnt hurt to tighten up that pipe anyway.

Well having just said that why dont you come take it off my hands and do all the work for me ;) you can even sleep init if you want.

oh you mean rocker cover... hmmmmmm it looks very clean under the bonnet apart from the front where the cam belt is etc, its just a right mess underneath the car. i have tried my best to clean up the mess so i can have a fresh look at where the oil could be coming from. was hoping people had a common problem with this kinda leak but i guess not. maybe i have two oil leaks..... oooooo the never ending list....

Im almost sure its not that as i looked under the car at the tub and its black oil doesnt look like steering fluid to me. and the steering fluid level has not budged. it smokes more if you have been booting it. I dont understand how it could be the cam cover as its just a plastic cover no?
