  1. ...or off the shelf at MJP (Eastern Auto)....£37.01 + VAT
  2. The reduced back pressure will also hurt performance and can introduce some very unpleasant resonance at motorway speeds - deCAT pipes with small expansion silencers in place of the CATs should do the trick.
  3. Only just recovering from a similar Xmas myself - same reason! You have my absolute sympathy.

Dates not finalised yet (need fitting in around HSCC races and other Z Club meetings), but the Z Club will have six rounds of their annual Drag Race Challenge. It would be great if we had your support to help increase the competition in the 300ZX classes. We score points through the year for times at each meet, with an overall Challenge Winner in stock, mod and super-mod versions at the end of the season. Plus you get to see how your ride compares to older (and newer) Zs and ZXs. Super-mod has the potential for several 12 second (and possibly faster) contenders in 2005. I'll be announcing dates and revised rules soon on the Z Club Site.
  6. Following The Z Club participation in the MPH '03 Show last year, the organisers are offering Club members discount on tickets for this year's event: MPH'04 ROARS INTO CENTRAL LONDON WITH THE ORIGINAL MOTORING SPECTACLE Start your engine! MPH'04 - London's Live Motoring Theatre returns to Earls Court, 18-21 November. MPH'04 is London's showcase for the world's most beautiful performance and prestige cars and following the tremendous success of last year's show, MPH'04 has doubled in size and moved to an even larger space for it's 4,000 seat arena. Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and celebrity guests will put on an amazing Cirque de Voitures - an all-action 75-minute session of spectacular performance art where the cars are the stars. 7. End of day one at the Japanese Performance Weekend - some very quick cars in attendance, but not enough Zs. Still time for you to change your mind for tomorrow (Sunday) - loads of room in the Z Club area - search me out for a priviliged parking pass! I have a few left.
  8. Please call to confirm and provide address for me to send you a pass!
  9. The Japanese Performance Weekend is to be held at Santa Pod Raceway on 19th and 20th June. This is a Club based meeting purely for Japanese cars. There will be Club displays, camping facilities available, RWYB competition for all (but including some of the fastest Jap cars in the U.K.), Jet car demos, trade stands, side shows, evening entertainment and more. The Z Club has arranged a thirty car space in the pits for members to display and use as a base from which you can participate in the RWYB if you wish. This is more than just another RWYB, so don't be afraid to attend just to show. Mark Watkins has promised that the newly rejuvenated RatZ will be there and he hopes to be high up the order of fastest cars. We are happy to extend this invitation to members of the 300zx.co.uk forum. Entry is £12 per day per person or £25 for the weekend including camping and evening entertainment. Signing-on for RWYB will cost £12 for three runs - remember your driving licence. Kids under 13 free, grandstand seats free. Gates open Saturday 8am. For entry to the Z Club pit area you will need a Priviliged Vehicle Pass (this is NOT an entry ticket, just a pass to the pit area once you are in) which you can obtain from Mike Feeney beforehand - phone 01277 374201 NOW!

Oops - cut and paste didn't cover location. Edited in original post, but the meeting is at Brands Hatch in Kent!
  11. On the weekend of 22nd / 23rd May, the Z Club is providing a display of historic racing 240Zs for Nissan as part of their stand at this year's csma Historic Weekend at Brands Hatch circuit in Kent. We have examples of race, rally and hill climb cars from the past and present of Z racing history in the U.K. which will be displayed in conjunction with the 350Z models supplied by Nissan themselves. The weekend includes a full timetable of Historic racing on the track, numerous special displays and a range of family entertainment. Last year was the unveiling of the 350Z - this year there should be 350Z owning members in attendance! I will have a limited number of complimentary tickets available for each day (courtesy of Nissan) and hope to be able to arrange Z specific parking on South Bank. Contact me for details and to book a place - 01277 374201.

I'm in agreement with Tony's comments on the light-duty nature of the engine, but modest forced induction (superchargers preferred) in conjunction with headers, induction kit, decent exhaust system, high-flow CATs, underdrive pulley set, lightened flywheel, grounding kit and the ECU mods that are only just beginning to be available, then 400bhp is more realistic (just). Don't forget that in stock form, a 350Z matches a stock manual Z32 TT on 0-60 mph (+/- 0.1 secs or so) and is quicker to 100mph. Stillen and ProCharger superchargers seem to be the choice alternatives in the USA and 400bhp is already being claimed by a few. However, as always, unwise levels of high boost will fry pistons..... Check out 350ZUK.com for the views of new U.K. owners.
