Chris .. do you leave your connection to the Internet on permanently then? The laptop will be powered on all the time you are on holiday? If not, and it may be me being a bit of a cock, surely you will have to arrange a auto-responder with your email provider as it will go to their mail server.

Ask your hosting provider or whoever handles your email server.
