Also can anyone like Kwik fit check whether the HICAS is working correctly and toppped up? As it just does not feel right at the mo but as i'm new to these cars i dont know! hee good ideas fellas - the kwik fit and swap!! I'm not a fan of kwik fit but have used them in the past to suss out stuff then ordered the part myself cheaper and got my local garage to sort it out - hee when my car is next in for an endless list of fixes will get some photos taken of full system :nana2:

Quiet exhaust needed! Any advice welcome
HI - my recent purchase of TT UK Manual came with a twin powerflow exhaust system which i appreciate is good for performance but its just way too loud - the constant drone is doing my head in - i do like to hear a V6 roar but more when i do hard acceleration not while i'm sitting in traffic! I need to source a quiet exhaust system and will then sell the system i have - how quiet was the original system? Where should i go to source this as most systems are setup for sound! :o

Help - car running at high revs
I'm having fun and games with my beast at the mo - in addiiton to having the dreaded 34 knock sensor fault its running at high revs - at 2000rpm when cold then drops to 1500rpm when warm - this feels too high for me - any suggestions? The revs also increase when i dip the clutch - any help from you guys would be greatly appreciated!! :hyper:

Knock Sensor Fitting!
sorry Sharky but link does not work ;(
-
Knock Sensor Fitting!
do you have any guides on bypassing the sensor then? i do have a very good garage but they are not clued up on these cars :( really need someone who is in my area (north yorks!)
-
Knock Sensor Fitting!
thanks for info guys - are you saying that that bypassing is safe then? my car is also running very rich. the garage picked up the knock sensor fault, reset it then it came on again
-
Knock Sensor Fitting!
would i still get it running in safe mode even if wiring was faulty - the boost is very erratic at the moment - sometimes it will kick in sometimes it wont
-
Knock Sensor Fitting!
Would the garage be able to check the wiring then? Dont want to get this done unless necessary - oh and Nissan have advised it would be 2 hours labour £140+VAT plus £70+VAT diagnosis plus the part have heard that bypassing is not a good idea?
