Having broken or sold the last couple of Zed's i have found myself with a large space on the drive. Therefore, i've gone a bit retro and bought a mercedes 190e :) Pretty much finished the look on it now just need leather interior, a potential 2.6 engine and awaiting the missing trim (damn it was a nightmare tracking down a good s/h part for a pre '88!) :)

Only had 4 issues in a total of 237 transaction with them...all via HDNL then Yodel. Any issues have been sorted out instantly on the online chat. Can't fault them......its just the actual couriers themselves that can be slow and cock-up :)

Saw a convertible GTE yesterday when dropping off the TT. Looks like its given up its Redtop to some Corsa no doubt :(

Are there any differences between a NA & TT front and rear standard shock & spring setup??

Ken, the leak i think is a hose right up to top somewhere...i found it hard to pin point it. You'll see it on arrival as i topped it up with fluid. Only leaks when running...obviously.

LWB tailgate with no spoiler, no trim & no wiper/mech weighed 31.2Kg Just over most courier limits but close enough to get away with :)

I'm weighing one tomorrow without it all packaged up for courier purposes....needs to be under 30kg complete or its pallet time!! Result pending :)

+1 Really is getting harder to find clean examples today. I'm on my 4th one and still kick myself for selling my 1st pearl white one for financial reasons...non have even come close. If it is possible to struggle though for a few months then i'd definately keep it. Its only ever going to be an increasing valuable example and like you say £6k at this time of yr is a big ask. Cracking Zed to!! :)

Mine was the knock sensor wire. It was barely connected. The PTU & TPS both had dirty connectors as well

Sorted! Wiring was lose. All running now.

Still got problems on the NA as originally stated here: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=153847 Not tried the advice given on all connectors as yet as it has been mothballed since posting that. Checked all plugs as refused to start yesterday. Were coked up. Cleaned and fired up fine (though very rough idle around 600rpm and run like crap). Today, i ran a ECU diag and it came up as 55 all clear. Did this 3 times after an hr ECU reset and same result. Then, on each occasion while in Mode 2 i tried the heated o2 sensor monitor. On the left 02 at 2k i just got the EM light on constant so 'open loop' & running rich (lots of black smoke on throttle). On the right O2 at 2k (i think i switched the ECU over correctly) i got no EM light at all. So, is that both sensor gone? Will idle improve if i disconnect both to rule them out? Doesn't rev smoothly either. Took a couple of vids as pretty sure its these against the other options though will obviously be checking the advice given in the first thread tomorrow. the vocals maybe on the europop side but thats as far as it goes. It was just a mess around with my fav singles pulled from a 3 cd comp then mixed when i was 3 bottles of vino to the good :) Not my usual stuff...i'm more into my hard trance, minimal tech house & techno :)

What would be the ideal rear tyre size for a 8" x 19" set up?? I've got 235/35/19's on the front but the rears are shot. What options/sizes do i have? Would 255/40/19's work?
