Yeah, justy take your time and it's a piece o'piss!! I would recommend a willing bird/mate to give you a hand. An extra pair of hands to hold bits is very useful.

Porterfield pads are avaliable from Smithy. You should subscibe to the club, as then you will get a better price! (from Smithy and all the other club traders) Prices were around £150 for the full set, but that was a GB price.

I did mine in Alcantera. Bit more expensive than vinyl but MUCH easier to work with cos it's stretchy!! The tip about lots of tubes of superglue is a good 'un. I used 3 tubes I think.

problem with waxing
Turtlewax do this; which is apparently "The World's first completely clear wax" I've just bought a couple of bottles of this; cos it's just won a Best Buy from Auto Express in their wax test and I'm a lazy bast!! I'll let you know how good it is when I wash my car next. Oh, Halfords are doing BOGOF on all Turtlewax products at the 'mo.
