  1. For those who asked, here is a close-up pic of the FOS wing/bumper. The pic doesn't really show how bad it is though. And another shot of the front bumper........ I really must get rid of that old cooker :D then again it does come in handy for putting things on when I'm working on the car ;) Anyway I've been to see the bodyshop, and he says that it isn't a problem and he'll sort it our when it goes in for the rear bumper. And I have to agree with him when he said that if it was on the car when he did it, then he could have sorted it out then, but also, as we both said there was no problem when he did the rear boot lid. well no harm done, these things happen, it'll be ok in the end :D
  2. Totally agree, the only way to change it is to buy a new sheet, and that's the expensive bit.
  3. Martin, AFAIK the inverter inverts 12volt dc to 12volt ac (267-8857 £22.67 from RS Components, rswww.com) The sheets run from 20 to 200vac
  4. Billy & Neil..... ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!
  5. For those who have asked about the diffuser, here is a pic.... This one is four foot long by six inches wide Let me see how well this one goes, and has I'll have enough EL sheet left, all I'll need is another inverter, so I just might be able to do that ;)
  6. OK, well these are only small projects, but they'll keep me occupied during the dark winter months :D lol They are both to be done at the same time, as they are both from the same area of the car. The first one is this...... For anyone who doesn't know what this is (apart from the back panel ;) ) it is an illuminated back panel. Using the Electro-luminescent sheet and an inverter, and the FAQ from here, I'll be reproducing it in the 99 spec red, complete (if I can work out the best way to do it) with the chrome edges to the reversing lamp clusters. The second little project is thie.... I think this one is self-explanatory, but again I'll be putting my own twist on it by, again, trying to have the inner bezels (surrounds) chromed. I'm also hoping to have the two fine black strips on the inside of each lens. I've orded the EL panel kit from the US today, as all the UK companies that sell this sort of stuff was far too expensive, or the sheets are too small. I've also managed to obtain some flouescent light deffuser for the light panels. I've already got a full set of lights and rear panel to practice/measure from so that I don't have to have mine out or damage them ;) I'll also take plenty of pics along the way once I get started properly. Thats it for now, i'll keep you posted :D
  7. For membership number look here HTH
  8. The rad looks good mate, saw it last night on Karens PC, but now I'm at work and our works web stopper wont allow photobucket links :( so I'll have a look tonight :D
  9. I must try this Tamiya gear trick out somtimg, as my passenger one is fooked!! :D Glad it worked for you.
  10. I may get flammed for this, but I've not heard of a toolbar yet that HASN'T got some sort of spywear in somwhere!!!! I wouldn't touch them with a ten foot barge pole!!! :D (Not that I've got a ten foot barge pole ;), and why I'd want to touch anything with one anyway is beyond me  ) Pop-Up Stopper = I'd recomend Panicware's stopper, very good, but I've been told that you can't get the free addition anymore, well I've got it on disc if you want it. EDIT*** Free version available from this link , HTH :D
  11. Stephen, That sounds like an aftermarket single zorst type, maybe somthing like the Super Dragger?! It could be changed back over to a two pipe system without any problem. You could always ask the current owner as to what type/make of zorst is fitted, then if that doesn't mean anything to you post on here and someone will help you out. HTH
  12. Your main pulley will only have three belt locations on it. As long as the other two have a belt on them then it's just the air-con one that has gone. Sorry, cant really tell from the pic.
  13. Pic two is defo the Air-Con unit!!!! Not essential, unless you want air-con :D
  14. I've now copied this at work and at home :D
  15. The paint on the bumper is slightly darker than on the wings, This is what I was worried about when I had the boot lid done, but it turned out a perfect match. I haven't spoken to my bodyshop guy yet, but I will next week, as I've got to book her in to have the rear bumper 'Blown-In' to remove some scratches. Whats left is the coil pack plugs and the injector connectors, well thats as far as the original work anyway. As for future work, I've got no-end of ideas I'd like to do, but one thats been bugging me for a while now is to have the rear lights converted to clear... ALL clear :D I've got an old set that I'll use as templates, and then I'll sort mine out once I'm happy. Then there's more bling :D and the leather interior to finish. But in the meantime i think I may be looking at serviceing the brakes next.
  16. Whoopsssss, that's not a goose :slap: How about this one :D....
  17. Hows this?.... Well it almost fits the bill.
  18. It's been posted before, but what-the-heck ;)
  19. This is a very BIG thank you to all the people who have helped me with my Zed’s service over the last few weeks. In no particular order;…… AndyDuff, Danny (DTA), Smithy, AndyP, Gixxar, Pete Shrimp, (Groundingkits.co.uk) OneDay (Outlander Motorsport) And a few companies (not already mentioned)….. Concept Z Performance (all the OEM service parts), Fancyplates.com (Number Plate), Boostpro.net (Coil Pack Plugs), And my bodyshop guy, Chris Thompson (07713 202138)     And mainly to all of you guys ‘n gals , without who’s support over the last month I really don’t think I would have even tried to attempt it. Thank you very much (Gush, gush  ) DISCLAIMER: - Other companies can supply the parts mentioned above on a worse, equal or better basis. ;)
  20. . . . . . . . . . . . . . RANDOM RANDOM RANDOM RANDOM J.A.R.P. = Just Another Random Post :D   :hyper: :slap:  :mac1: :smash: :hurl: :nana2: Sorry, I was bored.
  21. Thanks guys, it's been nice to drive her again. As for the paint, not sure what, if anything, can be done, but we'll see. Then again the leading edges of both wings and the bonnet could do with a re-spray anyway :D .... hmmmm, more bloody expense  She drives like a bag of sh1te!!! But then thats because I still havent changed the injector and coil pack connectors. I hope that sorts it out, otherwise I'm back to square one.
  22. A couple of quick shots of her. By the time I'd finished messing around and then took her for a test drive, it was getting too dark for a decent pick. I'll take some good ones once I've washed her. First, sparkly new engine bay.... And second, the new bumper.......... But what the pic doesn't show is that the colour match isn't all that good, I'll have a word with the bodyshop next week to see if there is anything they can do. (this pic has been brightness/contrast adjusted so that you can see it :D ) On the whole I'm pleased with all the work that has gone into this little project, although it's still not quite finished just yet ;)
  23. Thank you Chris :D  Only because I've got nothing better to do here at work :D
  24. Take a look at this pic/screen shot, and you'll see a little world with a chain link on it. Pres this World, and another box comes up like this.... You can write what you want the link to say.... ie..... Follow This Link ....... This is what will be displayed when your post is complete....... Follow This Link.......... Next press the OK button and this box will come up... this is where you either type in the web address or paste it in. If you ignor the first box (or don't want to put different word in) and press OK you go straight to the second box and type in the address and it will apperar in the post as a web address.... HTH
