Each time I look at my zed it makes me grin let alone when I am driving it. Even though it has no Turbos I still can shame a few boy racers and smarmy gits at traffic lights. I love the anonymity of it too. Can say that in the last year it hasn't really been off the road for more than a month and that is for a new clutch and bodywork mods. Pretty damn reliable otherwise. (shoots self in foot) Just found out it was built in Japan for drifting so thats more to smile about!

Yup, I nearly bought one when I turned 21 (91 gunmetal grey auto TT) until I got my insurance quote. So I could have even had one before meeting SMW! That is how much I love zeds! :hyper: Only problem is we encourage each other to spend so much on them that I think we'll probably be selling up the house and living in the zeds! :eek:

The best thing about having a birthday being older is that people find it hard to choose a present for you so you normally end up with cash in the card. Thanks Peter and Martin you both did a great job and made me very happy :D, only problem is I'm looking out the window every 5 minutes now to make sure nothing has happened to it :eek: Although Quad lights are not to everyones taste I love them and I think it works really well, I also think the black strip above them works well too, I don't think I'd like it if we painted that as well. The Sub box and Amp rack have to be seen in the flesh to be really appreciated and it sounds superb :bow: I appologise in advance as some silver spaceship kept getting in the way :dance:

Hi all, :D I was a bit pro-active this year and booked me and SMW 1 a hotel room actually in Billing Aquadrome for the Jap Auto Extravaganza on July 24/25. It is the Northampton East Premier Lodge situated on Crow Lane at Billing. When trying to book it on the internet I found that were no rooms available for the nights of 23/24 July. :eek: After phoning them I discovered it is because they only allow a minimum of 3 nights stay over that weekend. It turned out that 3 nights in a standard double room for 2 adults was £150. I felt that this year it was worth it since last time was a bit of a hassle finding a cab late at night to go back to the hotel we had further away. :duffer: Hope this info helps anyone who is planning to stay at Billing. ;) Cerina X

Welcome and good luck.;):) I don't think the zed could ever be mistaken for a Skoda. Unless there is a kit out there... :confused:

I only just got a Jap NA in June & have already done the conversion. There are a few ways of doing this but I simply bought a conversion kit which wires into the back of the speedo and re-calibrates the speed information from KPH to MPH so instead of 180KPH it will be 180 MPH. All you need to do is put a sticker over the KPH sign to show MPH. This was the simplest (and I think cheapest) way to do it. I got my kit from the zcenter. Zcenter Hope that helps.

I still have yet to test the performance on my decatted Z NA. I was surprised to find it now has a quieter idle but sounds a lot meatier in the higher rpm range though. I'll keep you posted on the performance when I get a chance to test it properly.
