  1. Surely this was to stop the car bouncing of the limiter constantly and potentially causing more problems!! also if he only shut off and didn't remove the keys the steering lock wouldn't come on would it?
  2. Sorry for the hijack :o How does this work as i thought it would be mainly based on MAF and LAMBDA sensors which will be taking readings in the same way and adjusting accordingly on the fly, what is it that the ECU "re-learns"? :confused: Cheers OneSHOT
  3. I haven't checked but if it's the same as other cars the valet key will let the person into the car interior to valet the car but wont open lockable storage like the glove box.
  4. Munny: Do you know of any decent tutorials for getting into 3d modelling, it's something i've fancied for ages but all of the tutorials i've come across dont explain what your actually doing just "click here click there" type of things which doesn't seem to help when you come to doing another model after. Cheers OneSHOT
  5. Goldmember styleeeee :rofl::rofl::tongue:
  6. One of the biggest problems with the roads near us is sinking man holes! After speaking to the council it seems they aren't they councils issue as United Utillities bought them all from the council (at least where i am they did, not sure if it's nationwide) with the look to making money (how that works i have no idea!) but they don't seem to do shit about them! can see them listening even less than the council!
  7. I don't know if anyones mentioned it yet as i don't have time to read the thread but if you have any tall free standing cupboard units get some strapping, cut it into short lengths and screw 1 end into the wall and 1 into the top of the cupboard as if she tries to pull the doors open, when they hit the child locks it can cause the cupboard to rock!!! we found out the hard way, luckily i caught the cupboard before my little one got flattened and she just had a couple of bumps from things that fell off, could have been much worse!!!!
  8. I was thinking this as my mate reckons a remap without any other mods would still make a decent difference, one thing to note is he doesn't do Jap cars mainly German (he drives an RS4) does anyone agree as i have no idea Cheers OneSHOT
  9. Cheers Groover!!! :cool: OneSHOT
  10. Sorry as i'm sure it's been covered before but i can't find sh*t on it! Is there a way to flash the codes off the ECU using an LED? or anything other than Conzult as i don't have access to a Conzult and is something i wouldn't mind doing to see if it sheds any light on my idling issue before i start replacing bits for the sake of it! Cheers OneSHOT
  11. He's always on driftworks i'll PM him now with the link here, hopefully it's the same Dave/Royal :D
  12. Are you married mate? if not get parental responsibility set up NOW!!! then down the line if she tries to make it hard to see your kid you can do something about it, without it her and the Kids grand parents have more rights to your child than you do!! Without it you don't have a leg to stand on if it came to court! P.S. she needs to sign the forms aswell so that may be worth doing while she's still being kept sweet! I can't help on the house side of things but i have a eight year old with my Ex and while i haven't had any issues where we've had to go to court it's nice knowing that i have a little bit of backup on my side in the parental responsibility order, also try to keep the CSA out of it with a mutual agreement over cash for the kid they are *******s when it comes to calculating how much you should pay.
  13. Were you together? if so you must have been infront as the red one was turning into bell green lane as i saw it so if you were i would have just missed you :tongue: Is the red one an members? i'm sure i've seen it on a car park off caroline street in wigan.
  14. Seen @ 18:00 yesterday, i've seen it a couple of times around wigan but never been able to get close enough to have a look! looks nice though :)

  18. Hi All, I know this has been covered before and there are multiple posts stating "my Zed idles all over the place" but was just wondering if there is a guide to cleaning the Idle Control Valve, i've tried searching and also had a look in the FAQ's section but can't find anything in the way of a guide. Mine seems to sit at 750 to 850 sometimes but mainly at around 1000, sometimes it idles at 2000 and can pull up a rather steep hill in first with no feet on the pedals! Based on what i've read all points to the ICV or the little yellow connector which i think is ok (i have no idea what it is but i've cleaned the contacts anyway). The problem i have is, i have no idea what the ICV looks like or how to find it. Could anyone point me in the right direction please? TIA OneSHOT
  19. And your worried about getting an MX-5 surely that is an upgrade in everyway including bloke-iness, i agree the newer ones aren't as good looking but anything has to be better and less feminine than a smart! :smash:
  20. Cool cheers pal will have a look later! Cheers OneSHOT
  21. If thats the case can anyone point me in the right direction for a cheap but more reliable gauge? i've not been overly bothered about it before but if they're that unreliable i suppose i should! Cheers fellas OneSHOT p.s. again sorry for the thread hijack
  22. Sorry for the mini Hijack! :o Just out of interest, what was indicated on the stock boost controller? only reason i ask is i've noticed quite alot of people saying how bad the stock gauges are (temp and boost), now mine swings from -14 (idling) to +14 (foot flat to floor) but just wondering whether i could reliably take that as i'm getting roughly 14 psi when flat on the accelerating. TIA OneSHOT
  23. Arse, I can't make it! :(
