Awful Widebody kit (IMHO of course)
They buy really shite grade imports and then tart them up to make them look like a better car, most of the cars they sell are shite!!!

Hi
Probably trying to get some airflow through the Rad to Cool things down a little :wack:
-
Hi
Granted the guy above has probably spent a fortune to get it to this point but they will drift, it's just from what i've been told by people that used to use them including Chunk and Royal they cost to much to drift! and have cooling issues when sideways!
-
Hi
Tell that to this guy! Any RWD car drifts its just how well and how well can they cope with it mechanically!

Viscous fan painting?
Would balance not be an issue? if there was more paint on some blades than others then it wouldn't be balanced and may cause issues, thats if it's well balanced to start with. Just a thought, don't know if it actually would be an issue or not

Hi
You have cooling problems with any car when drifting, some will be better than others though, it's due to the fact the car isn't travelling forwards as intended at design stage so the airflow that normally comes in from the front of the car is hitting the wings and side of the car instead and not as much is making it into the engine bay! Apparently (i never got mine on the track before she was written off) with the Zed it's worse due to the lack of space in the engine bay, also from what i've read melted Looms due to the heat buildup can be a bit of an issue also. One last thing that was pointed out to me was if the car doesn't overheat you will still end up waiting ages before the next run for the car to cool down enough. As stated above a skyline or s-body would probably be a better option (although there are a few drifty Zeds out there) especially as the parts are much cheaper and more readily available than Zed parts when things do go wrong! If the main reason your looking to buy one is for drifting then have a nosey on http://www.driftworks.com/forum there are plenty of "whats the best car for drifting lists" and to save yourself alot of flaming do a search before you post as they'll pull you to bits if you just go on and ask "Whats the best car for drifting" Cheers OneSHOT

I hate snow!!!!!
ah they're collecting it later/tomorrow morn, to be honest Jeff i can't be arsed with the hassle as mentioned above i have no space or time to do anything with it afterwards, i just thought it would be a shame to see the engine and gear box if nothing else go to waste, as it seems spot on, i haven't had it on a Conzult but it seems to pull great and the people that have seen it said it's in very good condition. The reason for the post was if someone said "i'll give you £300 quid for it if you get to retain it" then i would have kept it (if that was an option) but they would have had to collect near immediately on me getting the go ahead from LV (on a trailer as it wont drive straight due to the wishbone being bent, otherwise the salvage firm are collecting it for LV and it's bye bye Zed. Cheers for the advice though mate. OneSHOT

I hate snow!!!!!
I am cheers pal, it's kicked my Fibrositis off but that is an existing condition that i'm used to dealing with! no other issues with me :) My only problem with breaking it is the lack of space and time. i was thinking of passing it on for a few hundred quid, that way someone gets a running engine for less than the usual price plus alot of spares that could be pulled from the car and it just adds a bit of cash to the shite amount that i could see the insurance offering. I'm realistic about it in the sense that i can't see them offering me more than £1500 if that, i was looking to put it up for sale at about £2500 in the next couple of weeks :(

I hate snow!!!!!
Going to the train station yesterday morning and the road that leads to the car park is a down hill, old cobbled road still which was covered with snow and ice, as soon as i pulled in the car went sideways and accelerated down the hill, at the bottom i met up with a solid square tubular steel post!! The post hit the passenger door, which is now near V shaped (i think this is just the skin as the door card hasn't moved), crushed the sill, smashed the passenger window and bent the rear wishbone as the wheel hit the curb around the post. I can't afford to shell out for repairs (don't know if it's structurally sound or not) so had to call the insurance. They're meant to be collecting the car today. The reason i'm posting is this, if the car is structurally sound and it is written off due to the cost of the repairs would anyone be interested in it if they offered me the car back? The engine is sound atleast, completely stock and makes boost fine. If so then i'd probably buy it back and sell it on (as is) for not much at all. I don't have the room to break/store the car so if there was no interest and they offered it me then i would just refuse, but i feel it would be a shame to let it go to waste, as mentioned the engine is sound, the interior is sound it looks to me like it may just be panel and wishbone damage but i'm no mechanic so can't be certain. This isn't a for sale thread per say as i don't even know if it's a write off so just trying to find out all the options but apologies if it comes across that way. Cheers OneSHOT
