As far as I know (and I wait to be corrected) when you turn the engine off with hot turbo's the oil obviously stops circulating around them and can bake onto the internals of the turbo's. Letting the engine idle for a few mins allows the oil to cool the turbo's.

Personaly I would pull into the parking area of the station and sit for a few mins and let the turbo's cool, then pull up to the pump.

Was there a particular reason for doing away with the gauge then. Or was it they just couldnt be arsed.

Well spotted mate. Didnt know the gauge was dropped. So is there no boost gauge at all then ?

Just been having a look on autotrader and found 2 twin turbos that seem to be missing something. Probably a perfectly good explanation but can anybody else spot it. As far as I know squealer tabs/wear indicator tabs are only on the front pads not the rear. Never had any tabs on any rear pads. Fill.
