  1. Hi Nick, that was me - wondered why you gave me the thumbs up cos I hadn't done anything in particular to deserve it...! Well you asked on my "for sale" thread why you never see me around but now you have... unfortunately that was my last decent drive in it because I was just giving it a quick run before showing it to someone the next day, and now after 9 years it's gone... gutted...!! :-(.
  2. Yep looks good - thanks Andy.
  3. Hi Chris, It's a Virgin One account (RBOS), the account name is ***. I think they do same-day transfers so it should have gone through on the 9th or 10th, I put ******* (or something like that) as the reference. Thanks, John
  4. Hi James, Just wondering if your account has been upgraded yet, and if so did you have to do anything else to make it happen..? I've been waiting nearly 2 weeks but I've heard nothing so far... Cheers, John
  5. It's been a week now since I paid my subscription but no reply yet - can someone tell me what else I need to do to get my account upgraded..? Cheers, John
  6. Hi, I finally got round to subscribing (only took 8 yrs..!). £20 payment by bank transfer should have gone through yesterday - I assume this is how I let you know, can someone check and upgrade my membership please..? Thanks, John
  7. Yes, definitely not a fault - my 1995 series 4 TT import does it, iirc it's called a kerb light and they're quite common in the USA (which is where the Z was aimed at...). Personally I think it's quite a nice touch!
  8. Hi Nick, As we were gonna meet up anyway, I'd definitely be interested - and if it was in Fleet I could even walk there! (Oh hang on - doesn't that defeat the object??!!). Not sure yet if I can do that particular Sunday, but let's see if you get any more takers.... Cheers, John
  9. Yep, and would I be right in guessing that your's is the one I pass quite often on the way to work, always parked at a funny angle? Or are there even more of us about..??! john
  10. No, I'm actually in Fleet (not far from Elvetham Heath) but I do drive through HW frequently so maybe you've seen me. Don't think I've ever actually met another zed owner yet so would be quite interested in meeting up (but will have to be after xmas). You back on the road again yet?
  11. Hello, yep that was me... actually pearl green metallic, but looks any colour you like in the dark!! Any more of us in Fleet? John
  12. Wow, you've made my day - I've finally been spotted!! That was me getting my weekly fix of Optimax in B/S... and you don't realise just how relieved I was at the time, I was down to vapours only..!!!

Well that last post was just completely hat-stand (but I don't mind telling you that 'cos my own post-count is surging on towards double figures....!)
  14. Thanks beermonster, but I don't think there is a plunger for the tailgate is there? In any case, I definitely can't reach it when I'm driving..!! ;) Cheers, John
  15. Hi folks, wonder if anyone can help with this little problem... When I first got my Zed I noticed the interior light (and sometimes the "door open" light on the dash) came on occasionally when going overa bump at high speed. I could also hear a relay or something clicking in the rear left wing so I assumed it was due to the tailgate. A quick search of this forum found a similar problem, and suggested I should adjust the tailgate latch for a tighter fit, which I did several times - each time making it worse! When I was adjusting the latch, I noticed that when all 3 bolts are loosened the clicking goes crazy when I just touch the single bolt (on the left as you look down into the boot), even if I don't seem to actually be moving anything (but not in response to wiggling any wires..). It all settles down again when I tighten the bolts up, but now the relay chatters away almost continuously in normal driving at anything over about 40 mph... so am I right in thinking it's a sensor or switch which is on the way out? I gather it's in the actual lock mechanism - is fixing it a job I should be able to do myself? (my car-fixing abilities are not brilliant but I'm prepared to have a go...). If so, then where exactly is the sensor/switch, how do I get it out and where can I get a new one? And finally, am I likely to bugger up my alarm in any way (even temporarily) if I don't get it sorted in one go ?? Or am I barking up the wrong tree completely? Any advice appreciated.... Cheers, John
