Just got off the phone to them, bunch of wan*ers Got a private plate on my old 300zx - A3 OOY so though i might as well transfer it onto my new zed so eventually got all the forms from them and all my V5 forms back so called them up to get some advice as i want to get the old shell taken away today and ive lost my plate??!! :rant: They say i cant transfer a plate unless the car is road worthy and has a valid MOT?? what relevance is that? i own both cars so why cant i swap the plate over? but just keep getting the same answer.......its the rules and we cant change them but you can try your local office! so i ask for the number....they dont have a number....can i go down....yes......ah great i will nip down....they cant deal with any queries over the counter :headvswal :headvswal so whats the bloody point in having them i said and slammed the phone down??!! So what can i do or do i just let me nice 300 plate go away with the shell :(

I dont know why everyone is going on about the standard box on the jun car, this car was developed to slowly build up speed and do a top speed run and you say standard nissan box!!! well the standars manual box is only geared to do about 197 mph so being as they did more like 250 mph then i dont think it was a stardanrd box!!!

gap the buggers to a cypriot inch and you will give that bugatti a right good run for its money!! who needs to spend a million quid when all you had to do it gap the plugs better :rofl:

Well speaking from experience and just ask anyone who actually works on zeds and ask them if the internals will handle near 700 bhp!! and with NOS which can kill a piston quicker than chunk can eat a ginsters ;)

jesus i will get my car mapped one day :confused: :( sorted the map sensor problem so it revs freely now but will only boost under its now wastegate spring pressure!! checked the plumbing and its all to cock, bloody bovs being fed from one throttle body pipe and the other going to the solonoid!! so all needs ripping out and re doing then should be able to get the boost controller to 1 bar. Did get another reading :rofl: at 0.5 bar on the spring she made 313 RWHP :rofl: Shame i dont live some where nice and hot like cyprus as she would have made at least double that :rofl: :eek: :rofl: Kirbz

You are so thick!! Go get a book on turbos and how they work!! The 16g turbos are rated to about 300 each to techincally they can produce 600 bhp between them but you will never get that on the 300 because there designed for a single set up ie a 2 ltr engine boosting 1 turbo so the zed engine is basically 2 x 1.5 ltr engines driving a turbo each so its never going to make as much bhp as there rated for!! Now if you had said 550bhp then i might have believed you as that on a zed engine is running them to their limits

hmmmmmm will let you into a little secret a turbo flows air!! depending on the size of housing etc depends on how much air it can flow and thus how much power it can produce BUT once you max out the air flow it will not make anymore power so if a turbo can produce say 300 bhp then in a perfect setup thats how much it can flow...no more!! The 16g's simply will not flow enough air to produce that type of power no matter if your in alaska 3 miles below sea level with a cocktail with a nice umbrella in it??!!

They do spend ALOT more money than the average zed owner but again the younger element is creeping into the skyline boards and they are falling in price but there alot easier to work on and hence theres alot more parts

Its not that but if someone came on here saying he had some steel internal turbos on a skyline and getting 600 bhp i would say the same....sorry but no chance!! Also 600 bhp in a skyline is common so not so much as a raised eyebrow!

The dyno operator must have been on the ouzo ;)

I'm not bothered how much power mine produces, a dyno print out is sh1te and can be easily tweaked to produce more power than the car actually has. In your case you must be using the US type of BS BHP
