  3. wow what a reply from smithy!! despite my questioning and wanting an excuse to run 17psi i have already dropped it to 14 as advised by the wise ppl of the forum! dont be offended by my visiting other forums, that was merely a google search result! this is the only site i belong to, despite the bullying and near blackmailing to pay the money or not get replies anymore! i mean where is the warm loving community feeling this site once had???? and in 5 years ive done (up until this thread) 50 posts, which is not really bleeding the site of its wisdom is it! im fine with supporting the site as its a very good site but dont think ppl should be pressured into it, i mean if u want ppl to pay then make it all subscription or allow ppl to use the free info for free surely? dont worry il pay as i dont want to be outcast! what colour do the stickers come in? look no lols either (except that one) ;) i can do winks right?
  4. engines been good so far. i have put it down to 14psi for norm now, but 17 is only an overtake boost button away il just have to start saving for intercoolers and injectors grrr nah didnt get any fuel or air graphs, got a boost and vacuum graph if thats any good? power drops much earlier in the revs now, like 6 to 6.5k, so this must help a little maybe? (note: had to edit out 5 'lol's as some ppl frown upon this!)

  6. well i prefer the american spec then! lol so is that quote at the fly or wheels? cos now im confused! thor def said it was at the wheels them results! cos they were saying how u can calulate the flywheel horse power on a rolling road but cant on the dynomometer that connects to hub, but he said its much more accurate at wheels than rolling road! and im sorry to disapoint u topless, it saddens me to see u upset! but what do i get for joining lol throw in some greddy intercoolers and im there!! or is it more of a donation for the site runners?
  7. http://www.ttxtz.com/specs.html ive read many places that the zx was 280 up till like 1990 or sommin then went to variable valve timing and become 300bhp, then in 1996 it lost the vvt due to emissions and went back to 280!

  9. well thor dude said they are at the wheel, they use the dynomometer that bolts to the hub and he said it doesnt calculate flywheel power but to add bout 20% for that! plus if the car is sposed to be bout 300bhp as standard it makes sense its only 280 now (before map)! its a 95zx

  17. ditch the emange for a cheap ass chip???? i dont think il be doing that lol whats the advantage of a chip over emanage? from what i understand the emanage is a fully remapable unit, i mean u can adjust everything on it! and it has injector duty sensors! which i will check when i get a sec to see if its connected lol and the profec is good for 30kg/cm2 of boost which is loads so the package should be fine and not need to be replace by a 50 dollar chip lol yeah i do want to run at 17 cos i get more power lol i am trying to be convinced lol, i certainly will be mostly running at 14, but my overtake button is still set to 17 lol i looked on other forums and from previous posts they all say 15 to 18 psi is ok lol i mean wouldnt the thor dude have checked my injector duty and made sure it was ok and checked it was det'ing? or likely to blow? i mean thor do some pretty big tunes init!! dont get me wrong i do value all ur opinions, but yes i am wanting an excuse or reason to believe 17 is ok lol i only use the car once a week or so lol do bout 4-6k miles a year max as for money for intercooler, hmmm under 500 lol closer to 200 if i can hahah but obviously i dont want anything shit what else do i get for becomming a member? do i get a badge and a sticker? maybe some free intercoolers?

  20. and the profec has its own boost guage, surely considering the price of this unit it should be pretty acurate, dude at thor said it was pretty accurarte, maybe very slightly high! he set it to 17psi and highest reading ive had is 17.5psi which would seem right!
  21. so maybe 17psi is ok on a cold day lol it was hot the day i got it and i was on off flooring it from birm to london lol engine was hot when i got it home, but it always has got pretty warm lol how come u say the profec e01 wont handle the extra mods u mentioned? its a pretty decent boost con init? surely it will take what ever, yeah at thor they had a 600bhp zx using emanage and profec e01!! and with the emanage bit what ever mods i do in future i can get that remapped init, should surely never need another chip!! hey mainiac, have u uprated injectors or anything else to be running 21psi?

  23. lol ok il try to keep it at 14 psi lol i noticed u put chip in the list of things to buy,, but i just got the emanage and profec e01 fitting so surely wouldnt need a chip :S how long did ppls engine roughly last before they blew running high psi? (a question to ppl that have blown there engines lol) cant u get a sensor that tells u ur injector duty cycle? my bro got one on his rx7 and im sure that runs at 90% max and was told it was perfectly safe by two companies! cheers
  24. so what do u think i should get next to run 17psi safely? intercoolers, turbos and injectors? lol if there was not enough fuel getting in would it not run rough or anything, would there be any signs of excess stress to engine or would it just blow? i mean it floored it a fair few times and its felt fine, plus the power now peaks earlier and i have to change bout 6-6.5k before power drops surely the less revs is putting less stress on engine? cheers
