Well i'm doing the same again with my 99er's. It is no where near chrome btw but it does look good :)

Just go in and ask to look at their swatches and ask to see the brightest silvers they do and pick one. You'll need clear coat on top also to give it a nice shine and what not ;) Its plasticote chrome effect spray paint and yeah its OK, however that is in a sealed unit. You cannot put clear coat on top of it as it turns it grey! So having it on an exterior part will not work at all! :(

Where are you buying paint from? Personally i go to an independant place close by and just ask them for the brightest silver they do. You can pick from loads of swatches then too :) Even the brightest silver is not close to chrome, but if its very metallic its a good look i think. More tasteful than chrome IMO :)
