  1. Surely changing the dials themselves won't do anything  As all the wiring within the unit is still the same. Also the odo will still work in kilometers as again nothing has been done to the wiring within the unit itself. I could be wrong, but thats how it seems to me. Are you sure people have done what you are doing and it has worked? I always thought people changed the whole unit round, and put a uk in a jap car.
  2. I believe hicas works between 30 and 50, could it of been that??? I took my car out last night and its barely been driven for months cos of repairs etc... And TBH it felt ok, the only little wiggle i got was dragging with some fat bmw at some traffic lights and i felt the rear end snake for a second and then it was fine.
  3. Oh my word, LMFAO
  4. Oh ok, i see :) Can i just say though, mine has been delimited for about 18 months now and i have never had a problem, but i can understand why you want to keep it as it is :) A quick question regarding what you are doing :) What are you adding to make it work in MPH? As adding uk faces to a jap unit won't make it work in mph.
  5. I may be missing the point you're trying to make, so sorry if thats the case :) But why don't you just do what i did and buy a delimiter from zcentre and blank out the k on the clock face and leave it as m/h. Your clocks will then read in mph and the odometer runs in miles aswell. That way you don't need to change any dials or anything! :D
  6. Same as Paul said mate :)
  7. Looks superb bud, and incredible scenary  :D I need a good long drive in my zed soon :D
  8. Spot on mate :) On a standard auto zed the radiator is slightly different to a manual one, as it has a couple of extra pipes that are used to cool your auto box fluid. Fitting an aftermarket one is more efficient :) HTH :)
  9. Good to hear, nice one Paul :D
  10. Yep, i have one fitted to mine, as i was advised to when i was fitting an EBC. I got mine brand new from a member who bought it and realised his car already had one fitted. But i'm pretty sure zcentre do one and i would imagine there'll be plenty of other places sell them aswell. HTH :)
  11. LMAO, pick the remaining ants off so that you can end up with burning, painful, swelled, itchy fingers
  12. Oi! i do to........are you calling me odd :D
  13. LOL, obviously a lambo would'nt be much good to big ole' me  Nice one Dave looked like a great day, like you said shame you did'nt get much time to get used to the car and gain confidense in it, always the way :rollayes: :( Anyway looked like a great fun day, except the weather of course!
  14. Nice one mate, welcome to the club :D
  15. Looking great vini, nice one mate :D :duffer:
  16. Happy Birthday :D :duffer:
  17. Make sure you are tightening the filler cap properly first of all, cos believe it or not i was'nt doing and thats all mine was, lol. Secondly have a smell around the engine bay alot of the time its the lines, i have replaced mine with braided ones from smithys-place. Alot of people have said that has fixed their problem. HTH :)
  18. A chipped ECU, air intake, exhaust upgrade and a boost controller will give you more power, and its the first thing most people do to a zed to get more power (including myself). However i don't think you'll quite get to the 400bhp mark, probably more like 350bhp. I could be wrong i'm no expert but thats my 2p worth, lol. Also bud the max you want to set the boost controller to is 14psi on a stock engine and turbos, as after that point the turbos are not working as they should. I personally am having mine set to 13psi to keep my my engine going aslong as possible without wearing it out. I believe its a good compromise between speed and reliability. HTH :)
  19. I'm afraid i don't know what oil, but i'm sure lots of people do. However i can tell you it should be pink not clear. HTH :)
  20. Mine has'nt got anything wrong with it AFAIK, but it does do that, i find if i let my foot up slightly it changes up ok. HTH :)
  21. Welcome bud, not far from me :D
  22. Welcome bud. Sounds like you'll keep yourself busy! :D
  23. I know it seems like its a PITA but if you take the drivers seat out (which is quite easy really), you can lay down on your back :)
  24. A 99-spec zed :D That fits in a suitcase, right???
