Firstly thanks all for the advice. What does 1/3 mean? :confused: And what is the picture like? Is it good enough to identify someone if they look at it momentarily? TBH i live on a fairly quiet street so getting a face is'nt TOO important, as if i can get a good look at the clothes etc... there is a good chance i'll know who it is - and when i know that it does'nt matter if its good enough for a court or not ;) :D

I was wondering if anyone has either installed home CCTV or has looked into it. I won't go into details but its become clear someone nearby has the knife in me and me pa and are resorting to damaging cars etc.... No idea why! We get along very well with our close neighbours and have done nothing to upset anyone, but alas someone wants to make trouble! Therefore we need a CCTV system. We need something to cover outside our wall, and maybe three angles of our garden (pretty big). Its all pretty confusing as i'm only just getting into it - so was hoping someone may be able to help as they have done something similar. It needs to have fairly good quality pictures as we want to catch this tw@t! But we can't be paying out a fortune. We were thinking of about £400 - is that totally unrealistic?
