Hi again, quick question- are the inside windscreen pillar trims the same on a SWB as a LWB 300? p.s. im looking for the passenger side pillar trim with clips unbroken if anyone knows where i can get one? Thanks

Hi all, just had my 300 resprayed and dont want to put the old black and silver Z badge back on. Anyone know if and where i can get mabye a more modern chrome Z badge or somthing like that? thanks

hi, yes it does stand for that, lol. The company is in rawreth round the back of Makros- i believe its called Westfield motors. Alot of my mates with evos and imprezas use them hence why i thought would be safe bet- im not taking anything away from them as they are a friendly and helpful company, and when they took my car back in and changed some O rings they did not charge me and gave me a free courtesy car :) Anyway, ive found the washer bottle at last, it was sat inside a rubber mount that your boot sits on above passenger rear light- i only managed to spot it cos there was a slight gap in interior trim inside boot that i noticied a white bottle inside, looked up and there it was, lol, who'd of thought! As for the gearbox oil- i checked the dipstick when engine was cold, and it showed full, i then run the engine for 2 mins in neutral and checked whilst engine running and it showed it at the bottom of hot (just up from bottom of dipstick). So im guessing it might need slightly topping up - where do i fill it up from? :) And ill clean the temp sender terminals- but where do i find those please? I know nothing about underbonnets nor do i pretend to, and i appreciate all your help :)

yeah i seen where its supposed to be on another thread , however , the guy that had the car before me has done all kinds of crazy things to this car, some of which are somewhat questionable. I was wondering if because it was a jap import it might be somewhere else, or the fact its had an HKS intercooler put in and the aircon removed that it might have been relocated- i cannot see anywhere ??

Sorry, forgot to mention they said they put some oil in gear box when they had it back in.

Im not heavy on the foot, and nor do i stop fast - the power mode just comes on and off when it feels like it, and im talking about a normal stop- the only way for it not to stall is very slowly roll to a stop or pop it in neutral :( Its started doing this ever since i had the cambelt, tensioners, pullys and water pump done (in one go)- it was done by a place near me that does mainly jap motors. ive given it back to them to sort out once and they said they dont see that its anything theyve done, but they changed some O rings to see if it had anything to do with that- but it didnt- he did say to me my gearbox seems a little worn though.

When i come to a stop at traffic lights for example, the car stalls unless i slowly roll to a stop or put it in neutral before stopping (its auto by the way). Does this mean the gearbox is on its way out? because im assuming its staying in too high gear thus stalling it. Ive noticied lately that it keeps going into 'power mode' when it feels like it to, i have to switch it into 'hold mode' then back to 'normal 'for it to come out of 'powermode'. please help
