    As some other people have been experiencing vibrations in there cars...

     

    I had a bad judder throught the steering under braking over 40mph.

     

    Have changed the disks and pads and its cured it completely.

     

    It has also cured a very anoying squeek i was geting at low speed :hyper:

     

    I found that aswell!

    I was getting a terrible shudder whenever i pressed the brakes between 40 and 60 mph. But i got the ebc discs from z centre and it looks like it's cured my problem!

    Firstly, i'd like to say i had a cracking day and thankfully the weather was gorgeous!

     

    Secondly, i was over the moon to see two zeds on display! and one in the car park!

     

    I managed to get a wee bit of recruiting done :hyper:. I spoke to the guy in the car park, who bought his zed on saturday night, so i put in a mention for the club and the guy seemed dead interested to join!

     

    And, of course, it was nice to meet people from here......namely OMAR!!!

     

    So all in all, cracking day (apart from the agonisig sunburn!!!!)

    Thats a real shame john, would've been great to meet more zed lovers!!!

     

     

    No doubt there will be something suitable in the future...just gotta get my slipping gearbox fixed....or a manual conversion......

    just a wee update......i changed my discs and pads the other day and the shuddering had stopped.

    However, a number of bushes looked worn so it looks like a bush kit will be getting fitted when i do the suspension in a few weeks time!

    yeah, alan, have a good one!!! i aint going away until december and it feels like it's never gonna arrive!

    ok, this might have been posted before but i'm after a bit of info!

     

    I posted a thread a while ago about a shudder when i brake. I got some replies about worn tension rod bushes. But, me being nieve, i thought it was warped discs and spent £450 on new discs and pads!

     

    Anyway, i've now decided to go in and change the bushes but i thought i'd uprate the suspension at the same time!

     

    My questions are:

     

    Has anyone had any experience of the KYB AGX Adjustable struts that smithy sells?

     

    Does anyone know where i can get a decent set of lowering springs to go with them?

    OK I hope this isnt the wrong section to post this but I didnt want to keep it to one area. I also hope any REO dosent mind me doing this.....

     

    I have had a chat with Spongey and we thought we could possibly arrange a day outing for anyone interested in or around hearts beds or bucks. Just Sunday really as an alternative for those that like me have booked the weekend off for Billing. (although I have an hospital appointment on saturday). I must say at this point "Thanks to Steve" :bow: for the polite and concise notice of the cancellation of Billing. Its such a shame as it was looking like it was going to be great. :cry:

     

    Anyway if anyone has any local ideas for a days meet on Sunday 15th July then please post them up here. Obviously it would be nice to gauge some interest on this idea and see if it would be worth organising?

    I thought that Grafham waters would make a fairly decent place. It has two very large car parks both hosting a cafeteria and both have nice nature walks and splendid views of the waters. It might prove a bit boring but its open space so you can have a fag and a coffee with some grub and it will give us time to chat and take a closer look at each others cars. rather than just turn up have a pint and fook off. :D

     

    Please feel free to suggest something.

    Ok, this might sound daft but does this mean that billing has been cancelled????

    I havent been able to pay my subscriptions yet :cry: so i've not heard anythig about it!

    I have just had a letter telling me that I have got to go for a private medical appointment made on my behalf by my solicitor on saturday the 14th in London. What a load of B'LLOX. I have taken the weekend off from work for the Billing do and now this. I have tried to cancel but they are not having it. SO, the question is this......

    Is anything worthwhile happening on Sunday? Is it worth turning up for just Sunday?

    Erm, i'm sure i've seen an itinerary around here somewhere.....i'll have a look and see if i can find a link to it!

    You want to get a 25 offset for the front Standard is 30 ,but 25 fills the wheel arch much better.

     

    If you have wide arches then you need to get them calculated up properly or use a standard 30/35 offset and wheel spacer. Which is a pitty if your having them made up.

     

    Is the offset 30 on all corners??? i know that sounds daft, but i'm not sure about how the wider back wheels affect it!
