  1. loads of them built in the states, so no legal problems there. the license for replicas was bought a long time ago and there are several companies over there making them and selling the kits. here is one of the main ones http://www.chickslovethecar.com/
  2. oh and the gift thing wont work these days either as anything over the value of £18 is no longer allowed as a gift
  3. i just came back from the states with a lot of monies worth of watches for me and some jewellrey i got for the wife, when i got to gatwick i had them out to declare them but there was not one person at customs to declare them too... so its upto you really, have them in a seperate bag ready to declare but i wouldnt bank on having anyone there to show them too.
  4. forgot to add for info and lots of help goto the seloc website
  5. simple choice really, for out and out mental fun, handling and the fact you can upgrade far too many things on them , i would go for the elise, slap a stage 2 system on the back, upgrade the brakes, change the set up etc and you have a excellent road car thats perfect for those little track weekends.
  6. the show is no longer happening, after last years dissapointing turn out its been cancelled
  7. aol dropped mcaffee last year as its crap, they now supplu aol with kapspersky anti virus. none of the usual apps have proactive defense and none of them pick up the new range of rootkit, bootblock scripts or av blockers, kaspersky does it period, prescans the o.s on boot up and the entire active memory range, pre scans websites before they load up and can forward scan any hyper or java, applet link inthe pages also. you get one months free trial from their website fully working for 9 seperate bits of software. on my oc it uses 0.01 cpu processing task at any one time.
  8. http://www.brainsweb.co.uk/uploads/the-wrong-bike.wmv i nearly wet myself!! lol:bow:
  9. you could say that his opinion is justified though, as most of the meets arranged have been further south than in previous times, if you look back over the old south west threads. its understandable lisa that for you the travel is inconvienient as its a lot farther for you to have to travel if a meet is further north. yet you have to agree the south west does encompass his region also. i dont post much here as i just like to read the technical information and keep myself to myself, the forum is good and so is the company. prehaps arranging something in his region for a future date may be worthwhile, i think there are other members in the same region as him arent there? gruntpa64 mr-rogers and a few others? prehaps sorting something out with them , given time for yourself to get round to it. i for one would pop along as well, there isnt much in southwales so i dont mind travelling as long as its not going to need me to bring a fuel tanker behind me! ;) your doing a great job lisa!
  10. blaze gif creator does this you can import an avi straight in as standard, then crop and resize the image size and edit the individual frames for the gif also, you can preview and shuttle the images also. this is the best one and easiest to use, it also has multipe export options and resolution options, its better than ulead gif creator.
  11. please excuse the typos, my keyboard is on the way out. dewtailers= detailers fortniht= fortnight absfucated= obsfucated
  12. if it hasnt been done i suggest this forum and database is backed up as soon as possible. in the past two weeks a lot of sites have gone down due to a very nasty iframe attack thats doing the rounds. it has hit several of the dewtailers websites that advertise on detailing world, which led them to back theirs up, same with most of the other car based sites, and general websites. my website was also compromised by this as well. if the staff here do a search on yahoo or google for iframe attack, you will see that its gotten very bad this past fortniht and many sites are being hit as it progresses down the search engines and links etc. the ifram attack isnt a virus is html code thats been absfucated in iframe and turned into java code, it then is able to get in through the backdoor so to speak as a java update or applet etc, and your sites and servers dont pick it up as there is nothing in the code, however in the code is a html script addon that adds itself to the main html scource for the m,ain page of the website, this then auto loads jave on opening the main page and will download the java trojans from the link site. if this happens you need the backup to over write everything, prior to doing this you need to check the server logs and the authentication logs to see where it came in and patch the ports and also you will need to change the passes in some cases as it makes the md5 encrytion of the passwords visable in the source code, this means that by using an md5 decrypter they can get the passes in less than 1 min. this isnt a wind up, its not a fiction doing the rounds its fact. i can only suggest you do this as i myself have had it happen already, but i was prepared with backups. read up and get it backed up now! http://www.realtechnews.com/posts/5512 http://www.scmagazineus.com/IFRAME-attack-impacting-thousands-of-trusted-websites/article/107999/ http://www.zdnet.com.au/news/security/soa/iFrame-attacks-Blame-your-Web-admin-guy/0,130061744,339286892,00.htm
  13. so whats the plan on this then? meet up and then what? nothings been set? will you be going off for food? if so then dont eat lunch before leaving!! or will it be a drive about then do nothing and go home?
