  1. I bought from off eBay (US). Not cheap but excellent work and then sold my old one. here is a link
  2. There are plenty of articles if you search around. I know they are on the US and Australian sites. Yes, I removed the tweed before I did the suede. I used a product call "Quik Grip" but I don't know if that is available in the UK under that name. It is not hard - just take your time.
  3. Having replaced my seats with leather, I liked the look of the perforated leather centres and decided to get rid of the suede interior pieces I fitted a few years ago. I took off the suede and covered the panels with the same perforated leather that is used in the seats. I was fortunate to be able to contact the manufacturer and have them send me the same leather. Went from this To this
  4. My FPR failed and I was told that they usually leak fuel into the vacuum side. When I removed the vac hose while it was running there was a little bit of fuel there. Replaced the FPR and all was well.' Tony from Oz
  5. I like it but I think the shipping out to Oz would be a bit harsh... Tony from Oz
  6. Bonnet strut works well for me And here is the link to the How To Tony from Oz
  7. I used dielectric grease which is what was suggested in a tech article on TT.net. I have had no probelms at all since using it and before I had idle issues. Tony from Oz
  8. Thanks for the comments. I am very happy with clusters. As to how they look in the dark I haven't had a look yet but as the lighting is the same I don't think there will be much difference from the stock ones.
  9. I have fitted new speedos that I bought over the Christmas period. My N/A, got a Z Sport And the turbo got an Ab-Flug 330 kph This is the first Ab-Flug one I seen, are they common? Checked both against a GPS and they are accurate. Tony from Oz
  10. I made them Neil. Here is the link to the thread. Tony
  11. Done some more LED work and changed my clear side indicators from this to this I think it looks better than the single globe. Not too hard to wire up, done in four sets of four LEDs. Now they match the rear ones Tony:cool:
  12. Here is a great artcle on refurbing the cargo blinds Click here Tony:cool:
  13. Thanks for the positive comments. I cannot take credit for the Plasti-Dip as that was Greavous' idea on the US site. The LEDs are mine though and I am half way through doing the front set for the fenders (or wings as you call them). Cheers Tony:cool:
  14. I lived in malaysia for three years and plan on retiring there. Great palce, great food and great people. Good idea taking the Zed. Good luck Tony from Oz:cool:
  15. No mate I did not dilute it. I am not near the can now so I cannot read it but I do not recall it speaking about diluting it. The product is also available in non spray liguid and I know that the instructions on that one talk about diluting if necessary. But in short you do not have to worry about getting some thinners through that little hole:rofl::rofl::rofl: Just spray it on:hyper::hyper::hyper: Tony:cool:
  16. Jeremy, someone posted a link for UK availability, I don't know what Plastikote is. I bought it on Spence Street but that's in Cairns, Australia and likley a bit far for you to go...:rofl::rofl: The yellow stuff is also Plastic-Dip but liquid form not spray, great for covering electrical circuits. good luck Tony:cool:
  17. You are dead right I did spray them on the car but in hindsight with this stuff you are better off removing them. Tony:cool:
  18. Spent the weekend doing some upgrades on the Zeds. First off I redid the roof mouldings from this to this using this, (thanks to Greavous on the US site) The I did some soldering and made the clear rear side lenses into indicators using these At least now they are functional Tony:cool:
  19. Vinni come to Australia, i'll buy the drinks and we'll have a laugh over it. Tony from Oz
  20. Vinni, I apologise unreservedly if you took offense at my Christmas comment. it was meant as a joke and as I also said it is your car and you should do what you like with it. Again I apologise no offense intended. Tony from Oz
  21. Not my cup of tea but it aint my car either!!! Maybe if they were closer togther it would look better. The other option is to use colour changing LEDs and drive it around at Christmas time. Would be a hoot with the kids........:nana2::nana2::nana2: Tony from Oz
  22. No so. The ones I bought from the States had the disc and the wire brush. Tony from Oz
  23. That's one beautiful Zed. Great work - love the colour scheme. Not normally a fan of two tone but that looks awesome. Tony from Oz
  24. I replaced mine last weekend. I am in Australia with a Jap spec 2+2 TT. Bought the hose and valves from Concept Z Performance in USA. Great supplier, cheap and quick. The hoses are not a lot of fun to replace, especially the rear one. The best advise I received was "don't try and get the old one off in one piece". Get yourself a good set of long nosed pliers and tear the old one off in bits, it'll be really brittle. The new one slides on like a pri*k in a shirt sleeve - easy. Good luck Tony from Oz
  25. All credit for this goes to Gazza on Aus300ZX.com/ I tried the fix and can vouch for the diffrence it makes. The full post can be found here. As a lot of us know, the seatbelts in the zed can stop retracting properly with the result of the latch plate getting caught in the door and causing damage. Ive found that this is not just a problem with the 300ZX but most Nissan cars and there is a repair kit available from Nissan. The problem is with the D ring (the top seatbelt guide) providing too much friction, either from dirt accumulation or the material itself so Nissan in their wisdom have produced a kit with fluorine tape stickers that reduce the friction and prevent dirt buildup. In this picture you can see the buildup on my D ring. Contact your Nissan dealer for part number 87880-79900 you will receive a small bag containing two stickers and a short length of fine wire, enough to do two seatbelts. The tools required to do this job are a 14mm socket with ratchet, a torque wrench capable of providing 50Nm, one or more clips/pegs, cotton buds and metholated spirits. A high pressure cleaner can also be useful for cleaning the seatbelt but you could soak the belt in a bucket instead. Once you ahve removed the seatbelt upper mounting, clean the D ring by threading the supplied wire through the slot in the D ring and scraping the buildup off. I scraped off a lot of dirt plus a fair bit of plastic shavings/particles, no wonder it was having problems. Slide the sticker through till the sticky side has just passed through the slot (or it will be very difficult to peel the last of the backing off) and once squared up, stick the tape down to the D ring loop being careful to lay it flat with no ripples or bubbles. Take your time with this as the sticker can not be peeled off again once stuck down without ruining it. This part is a major PITA Once finished, the repair job is barely visible
