he told me he changed the oil in it oh and swz and dta are top guys for the advice ive spoken to both on the phone today and their real nice people i should of spoken to them in the start then i wouldnt of had this problem i normally deal with thor dunno why i didnt listen to myself and many others :smash:

so do you think i should say more to them about the tensioner or do you think it would be ok the boss there is a nice guy and told me he wouldnt of done it if he thought it would be a risk the garage has a good rep they were second behind norris designs at the time attack they drive the lotus

the revs kept on goin upto 2k and down to 1k and there was a rattling sound around the front of the engine sounded like tappets on an old ford and the power wasnt too good

ok got my car back and on the plus side it is sounding and driving very nice.ok i spoke to the main mech there he said they replaced the cam belt,water pump,thermostatand 3 tensioner bearings oh and anti freeze thats what it says on the invoice also charged me for investigating noisethen it says replaced cambelt and un seize hydraulic tensioner and replace all pulleys as required and done timingwhich was out due to last belt not been fitted properly this cost me £603 he said he saved me about £400 oh and i havent paid for it yet

they just phoned to say i can go pick it up im now waiting for them to ring back with the price he said he test drove it and it goes like a rocket hope i aint bein blagged

he said he had replaced the oil and seals in it does it sound wrong can you service the tensioner its all because he tried to buy the cam kit in pieces instead of the whole kit im gona stick with zed specialist in the future :headvswal

Hi all, after the ordeal with getting my cam belt changed the garage are now saying they have serviced my tensioner and that it be like a new one, would this be right? :smash:

man am i getting mad now because they never ordered a complete cam belt package to get the tensioner on its own it cost loads more and there is a 2 week waiting list now they just text askin if i could source the complete package :headvswal

right the garage where my 91tt is getting a new cam belt just phoned me asking if i knew where to get a tensioner from can anyone point me in a direction cheers

yeah sorry just read what i put 1 tooth i should of brought it down to you im not sure what to do i aint waiting another week for them to pull the finger out everytime ive spoke to them the boss is off racin and iv had a few days of work to spend with my kid but cant go anywhere and would be nice with the roof of whilst nice weather :mad:

hi last wednesday my 91tt went in to a garage with a funny noise they told me it was a loose cam belt and the timing was out by 2 teeth so i told them to change it i just recieved a texy from the garage askin where i would get a tensioner from cant believe it thought i would be gettin it back today and the real pi** take is that a trader on here told me to take it to his garage and they would do it and for much less :headvswal :cry:

yeah mine was a number 9 on a white square with loads of jap writing on it i thought it might have something to do with the condition of the car when at the jap austion house

ok i was about to ring the garage this morning when they rang me sayin they looked on a 300zx site this one i think cause he said what you guys said about the rest of the bits i need to do so now theyre doin it all but said it will cost around 500 quid also they said my timing was out by 1 tooth and my boost pipes are roch hard and have splits which i knew anyway

yeah it was making a funny noise when you put your hand on the cam belt case you could feel it rumbling the garage said it was slipping they have it apart at the mo just waitin to put belt on also the revs had been going up and down and the idle was just over 1000

no not really gotta do 30 mins on my punch bag then hit the road for 7 miles my zed went in the garage yesterday for cam belt so should get it back today

hey guys awake thinkin about my zed gettin cam belt done watchin old eubank fight

i have my 91tt in the garage at the mo cause the cambelt was loose so there gona replace it but only the cam belt im a biy bummed that the other parts arnt being replaced
