  1. I had this problem on idle where it just kept bloody stalling after a few seconds. Apparently Option motorsport traced it to the fuel pump wires (earth) or somet being faulty. May be worth giving them a ring, as I am sure this sounds very similiar to my problem. OPTION MOTORSPORT @ Silverstone Race Course.........not sure what the number is. I used to know if off by heart! Ask for Myer...pronounced mi-er. HTH ;)

  4. What do you mean directly in the middle?! You mean the header tank? You should take the rad cap off and check the level there also!

  8. I got the kenwoods, sound the tits for what they are! I basically dont use anything other than Kenwood, thats why I chose them!
  9. The premium difference is just the insurance companies being arses, I shopped around all over the place, Tesco, Firebond etc etc etc and Jap quotes were 2x that of a UK car. There is hardly any difference, seat belts on Jap are in a different position to UK and a few other bits are, but generaly they are the same car and the insurance firms inferior knowledge means they whack the premiums up. Made finding a car for me really difficult as I wasnt paying high premiums....feck that! My guess, Current Market Value for a 50K Manwell TT , standard, about £6-7K dependant on age/condition.......probably get one for £5K though but be careful. Do a search on this site, loads of people have asked the same question as you about buying one, and loads of advice was given..... HTH :)
  10. Have looked and looked, no haynes for the Z32! :( 300zx.co.uk is your nearest thing to a haynes and is better IMO.
  11. Ah I see, so in comparison to this, is the apexi AFC-R any good? I was gonna buy one of these? I tak eit this does a similiar job but allows greater flexibility??? :?
  12. I have never taken the job on mate, I am guessing that you'd need to give yourself a good couple of days to allow for any errors made testing etc etc.. I am sure once you have done it once it isnt that difficult........its just like a huge jigsaw puzzle, once you know what goes where your all right. Can you afford to go without your car though?!?? Then again, I guess its a matter of having to if it goes tits up!!!

    I presume so, most TFT screens I have dealt with come with a video and power cable socket. Compaq however have been known to be different........I am sure it is just the kettle lead. I can get some of there is anyone needs some.

  17. Oh, and yeah you can carry on for now, but if its on its way, it'll just get worse everytime you drive..... Next time I have any problems with my Zed, the ******* is coming apart in my hands, no more garages, I need to learn about my car big time....... If u give it a go yaseen let me know, I wanbt to come and watch, perhaps participate......;)
  18. I would say head gasket too, white is almost certainly water being burnt, and the increased revs indicate increased amounts of water being burnt. See if a local garage can get a compression test done, you'll then find which bank of chambers is causing the problem, although I am guessing on a Zed, you cant just change one head gasket, you have to do both? ICBW though! :?
  19. Kirbz, what exactly is wrong with it? Most expensive bits are Engine, turbos and gearbox..........(and tyres depending on how big ur wheels are!) There plenty of guys on here willing to lend a hand as long as you can get to them. Thats what the forum is all about. I have heard great things about Andy Duff etc etc...

  24. Can empathise completely with you Kirbz. I know what its like to struggle owning a zed, I must have either bought a dog ot just had bad bloody luck. Either way, I have owned it for about 14 months now and have probably driven it for less than 2 weeks in total and done less than 2K miles. :( :( I have a bill coming from Jeff soon too, but I cant afford to insure this as well as paying the bill so I will get the car back and then it will have to be insured the month after. I have considered selling more times than I care to mention but I have now got to the stage where I think to myself I would be lucky to get £6K for mine, even with the mods and it owes me closer to £14K, its just doesnt make sense. I guess Kirbz it depends on whether your gonna LOSE much money if you sell. If nto, then get rid and get yourself another Zed when the money is better. If u are, then I would takeon board plan 'B' from Jock. HTH
