  1. i know the weather has been really sh4t recently but i havent seen one single zed on the road. and i travel around for my job all over the country . i bought a zed because there wannt that many around . seems like im the only one ......
  2. sorry guys , new to all this but mine idles rough sometimes but what is this TPS so i can look at mine and see if thats the cause ..
  3. after being away at the garrage for 4 weeks i decided to fix it myself.. went to scrap yard got all the boost hoses vaccum pipes a couple of valves, and the potensiometer. all for 20 quid ... bargin all the pipes were split badly ..fitted the potentiometer and started her up....FIXED took a while for the idle to settle but she goes like $%*( faster than when i bought it ... who need garages ....feel pretty good with myself next job ....DUMP VALVES......... cant wait then push button start.. thanks all for all the advice .....im of to find some scoobies ...see ya
  4. there is plenty of water in the rad yes .. where will i find the MAF connector. and what does it look like .
  5. just got my zed back from the garage 4 weeks in total .was running sweet before never missed a beat, went in for cam belt, clutch , oik leak , alty tried collecting it 3 times each time it broke down with 1/4 mile from garage then when i got it home it had a massive flat spot and a water leak ...he didnt change it when he did the belts. total cost £2000 picke it up last night broke down got it home ..ticks over then slows right down till it just about runs with a fast ticking noise as it just ticking over any ideas .. the garage says its the wireing cos he said its got a bit britle in the harnes but its not trustworthy to drive no more ..he blames everything on the loom ..was fine before anyone come across this problem before.. it wont rev if i boot it aaaaaaaaarrrrrrgg im so p$**ed off

  9. anyone have a picture of them . do i take them off and put the dump valves it their place ....or just disconnect them and get a ''t'' peice t fit the dump valves in the engine bay..
  10. hiall. just got my new dump valves today all ready to be fitted . it says that they replace the normal by pass valve ..anyone know where that would be i know its somewhere between the turbo and the throttle boddy is it a big thing or small..
  11. same thing happened to me but all my light came on the dash.was the alty had it repaired things fine now . dont let your battery run too low as all the electrics run down and it cuts out and boy ..is it heavy to push ..
  12. thanks ... iwas told that they didnt fit them to my cars year .. so he couldnt connect the diagnostic to it .. so hes wrong then
  13. is there a diagnostic plus on a 300zx twin turbo on a H reg... and if so ..where would it be located....

  15. thanks for all your input..guys it is much apreciated.. its hard to find a good garage that will do a good job on these cars .. up to now every job ive asked him to do has come back with more problems .. went in for cam belt , clutch , alty, oil leak ....still leaks clutch ok .. runs crap has a megga flatspot on acceleration and now the water leak.. was ruuning sweet when it went in now i cant trust it thinking its going to break down ..makes me feel bad ..he says he cant find the problem and blames the wiring...or sensers
  16. the zed is back in the garage to get the problems i forked out 1700 quid to get fixed the first time . had water leak from front of engine been told its the water pump .was ok when it went in for cam belts last week .but its now leeking is it a major job to change and how much you recon to change it.. still got the oil leak and the flat spot on acceleration .. where does it end ..

  18. they are Bailey piston type dump valves, silver - polished alloy. and i need to make or get a 't' piece to make them fit but dont know which vacuum pipe i need to cut into
  19. also i know i may come across as thick here but as i look at the engine i see no spark plugs or plug leads ,,,and fuel ..... am i just stupid
  20. new to these cars so i think they fit onto the boost pipe with a 't' piece and then a small vacum pipe goes from the top to ???? sorry thats all i know
  21. just purchased a turbo timer and a pair of dump valves anyone know how hard the dump valves ar to fit and where do i connect the vacume pipe as there are so many im fitting them when i get it back from the damn garage ...

  23. ive checked all the pipes and the seem to be fitted and accounted for. while taking a look today i found that if i put my foot on throttle slowly it reved up ok but if i floored it fast and held it there on full throttle it only reved up to two thousand revs and surged .. its got me this one ..
  24. i just got mu zed back from the garage to have the clutch ,timing belts and an oil leek srted.. three times i collected it three times it conked out .. finaly got it away but it dosent feel right , wont tick over steady and if i accelerate fast it has a massive flat spot ... cant seem to see anything wrong just dosnt feel right any one help cheers .. :headvswal
