ive got a problem with my gearbox its as if it has shut down the fault code is 54 which says short between gearbox and ecu any idears on where to start could this be something to do with the alarm/immobiliser also no power light and as if its stuck in one gear and gear lever wont release when foot brake on help if you can cheers

cheers andy ive found that the tickover is set at around 600rpm but if you switch on the air con it goes to 1000 rpm this is my mates zed and the aircon pump boesnt pull in but on my zed tickover is around 800rpm and with aircon on it stays there my aircon works fine im thinking that the aircon has gone down and so that the engine doesnt race when aircon on they have alted the tickover or do you think the ficd is fooked cheers mate

will cheak that andy and get back to you i have got a bit further and found that if you listen to no 6 cylinder and someone presses the aircon switch on it does something to the vaccuum line im wondering if that goes backto anything that could pick up oil ie a brether

on tickover blue smoke comes from the n/s bank but when i switch on the air con on it changes to the o/s bank. then switsh it off again and its back onto n/s, i can do this all day long any ideas thanks

yes it changes ok most of the time at low revs but not always

my auto box is playing up its not changing in to the 2nd gear sometimes when i set off. i have to rev it then let it go then rev again or it will go right round to 7000 revs. its not all the time but mainly when i try to set off quickly. please help!

im wanting to fit some after market dump valves but i dont know wether i need 2 which replace the stock ones or if i can do it with one if anyone knows please help

cheers for that mate i just wanted to lift the boost to around 14 psi as ive been told 15 is the max on stock turbos

anyone got any idea how to fit manual boost controller to my 1990 tt i got one valve one tee piece and some pipe but no instructions cheers

this is like the chip ive installed and dont seem to be having any joy theres another site with a chip which says atmel on the chip which i am going to give a try will post thread when fitted if any good in my experiance stay away from the chips with paper labels and chips with a clear circle in the middle.

need help ive had a stage 3 chip fitted to ecu the fan is running constant and its overfueling really bad is there something i have to do to the car or is it the chip
