  1. Hi Jeff, the starter motor is not loose, I check when I replaced the clutch slave cylinder.
  2. Not posted for a long time, fell out of love with the Z after I was having a few issues with her, anyway I have found new interest in her and want to sort them out, first thing I want to do is change the timing belt and tensioner, as after reading one of Jefftt's old posts the symptom's where the same as he described for a failed belt tensioner, so I stripped the front of the engine to find that the belt had no tension on it, Thank you Jeff for that post, you may have save my engine from terminal damage. Second I would like to sort the starter ring gear out as it has some damage to the teeth and I get that hideous screeching noise that turns everyone's head towards you when you try and start the car, I was thinking of up rating the clutch at the same time, searching ebay I came across an Exedy Light weight flywheel and clutch kit, would this be ok to use bearing in mind that I have a light weight front pull fitted as well. Would a normal garage be able to undertake the clutch work and what sort of cost would I be looking at. When I know that she is mechanically sound I want to get her repainted after I have repaired the passenger side sill.
