  4. No, ive not cleaned it yet, and yes i sorted the 5cylinder thing, school boy error too, A coilpack plug popped off. :) And i must say, the suspension is rock hard and just my style
  5. i know of a lot of traffic lights that do that and ill bet you all it happens in the uk too
  6. early impreze intakes use the same size adapters, same size maf's (good if you need a dummy one) and brake pads
  7. oh, last thing that needs attension is when you try to raise the driverside window it makes a horrible noise and doesn't move, sounds like a wailing motor. Any guesses?
  8. i take it you in on the betting then
  9. No mate, it was running on a 6 when i picked it up, its just started on 5, i can sort this dont worry, and i stand by my statement, the auto is comparable to the manual :mac1: And let me explain the ecu question again Currently my car has KPH clocks with a MPH 180 face, so still reads in kph... nevermind ive answered my own question, all i need is to get a jap ecu/chipped and remove the de-restrictor thing from behind the clocks
  10. Guess what, my new slicktop is running on 5 cylinders  Not to worry tho, i think its the ptu and i have a series 2 already. Also noticed that my steering is abnormaly light, makes for really poor feedback and doesn't really inspire confidence, what can cause this? Im guessing it has a delimiter gizzmo on it as it has a speedo face for 180MPH which reads ok. Would a chipped ECU delimit the car and stop this? whilst still reading in MPH?
  11. just had it mot'd, only needed two tyres yay! So the total price with new tax, mot and tyres for less than he was asking, Yay again!
  12. My auto would make a good score, especially the torque range, but the new one im not too sure yet, it needs a tune up first
  13. As much as id like too, im afraid that they would have to go with the car, selling factor
  14. oh and to those of you who thought the engine looked a different colour to the body, well its not, it was just dirty muhahaha
  15. I did mate, the owner really wasn't the kind of bloke to do anything dodgy mate, believe me, it's just got a few bits of trim to replace/paint and ive goto swap my series 2 ptu onto it and but a cd player or swap the one from my other car, then jobs a good un
  16. For a start, when it goes you definately have to react faster, the lwb feels more managable. However the swb feels more tought(sp) and stiffer (might be the shocks). But the shelf behind you is cool and the roofline looks alot nicer. But on a side note: The autobox equipped cars are definately a match for the manual's, there is a noticable amount of more turbo lag in a manual.
  17. Can i change my answer? i now have lowering shocks and springs :)
  18. yeah, ill bring it to the RR day. And i must say, it has made me realise how amazing my auto sounds and how fast it actually is, somebody is going to get a real bargain with that car. Heres a teaser untill i clean it
  19. I bought it! Ill post some pics later, its done 52000 kilometers Tokico shocks, Koni springs and some gorgeous O.Z wheels, oh and a big bumper to install. For only £3000 MUHAHAHAHAHAHA
