Yeah you can do that -if you want to be a kn0b, cos thats what we're saying you'd be for doing that. (like the person who did it to you) The point is its not worth closing that gap and making a dangerous situation worse. Say a van one day kept on going to get in the gap that you had shut off, and he wasn't going to give up. An oncoming car wasn't looking or was just searching in the glovebox for something and there was a head on crash, twisted metal and blood everywhere. Would you be sitting smug in your car then? -knowing he didn't get into your gap? (thats the point!) Blimey, that was a bit sensible for me...........better say something stupid........ ........RED is the best colour for a 300. :D

I always think, well what if someone had just nicked my Z, at this point now they would be getting caught and I would be getting my beloved back. Its when they do it with a pompous, arrogant attitude that gets me fired up. I have had a mixture of both. But got to say I have only been pulled over once I think in 3 years of Z ownership. My first car when I was 18 was a Renault 5 GT Turbo, that was once a week!! It was a joke! ......but not a very funny one.

Not alot. Looking at my 99 spec there are a couple of thin lines across the lens that Lack300 won't have. Other than that you really need to see 'em lit up.

The dip in revs I would lay money on will be the temp sensor. Either the sensor itself or the wiring to it. (as Pete said!)

LOL :D I did say some time ago I might be selling FST and someone did say way back then they wanted it. It was a long time ago though but to be fair IF I did sell it and he still wanted it, I would have to sell it to him (forget who it was now lol) ......if not it will be erm........um....£50! What a bargain.

When my Z comes out of the bodyshop, I was thinking of treating it to a new number plate. Does G 300 T look too much like its 'G' reg or do you make the connection to 'GT' ? Other possibilty is C 300 J ........both for reasonable money. The 2nd one £100 cheaper. Which would mean FST 36M would be up for sale.

I was changing the starter motor on the Z and I was obviously underneath and very cramped for room. At my work there is a garage with a pit, but its only a teasingly shallow pit, there is no way you can stand up! I was taking the old one off and didn't disconnect the battery. My screwdriver must've gone across the live feed and the body and BANG/FLASH! I nearly welded the screwdriver to the fookin car. I fell backwards in the pit into a lovely muddy puddle - that had probably been sitting in the pit for about 10 years. It smelt worse than Pete Shrimp's best aftershave. So got the new starter motor, had the old re-con'd as it goes. It took them a few days to do it so I was keen to get it back on and drive the Z. Disconnected the battery this time, rewired the motor. Got back in the Z....went to start it and nothing! .....fookin dead as a dodo. I was well p1ssed off, thought I had wired it up wrong or not made a proper connection somewhere. So got back under, took it off......put it back on.......still nothing.......FOOK IT. The auto-electricians have stitched me up? No........my auto box was in "drive" and of course won't start when its in gear. :slap: :slap: :slap: :slap:
