advice please?
hi all, i currently have a skyline gts, and having seen some really nice 300zeds at a recent joint event, im interested in owning one. so one simple question, when buying a used zed what are the common problems and pits falls i should look for? do they have any water traps and potential rust problems? engine weak points or special service needs? ive spoken to one or tweo forum users on here before so thought id ask? oh and a rough idea of price for good unmolested ones would be an advantage as at present i know very little about these cars

GTS R33... Am i going crazy?
hiya mate, im from the skyline owneres forum, and happen to know about the gts as i have one .... firstly there are several gts types botom of the range is the 2.0litre sohc ...so well discount that if youre used to a tt zed. next is the normally aspreated gts with twin cam 2.5 liter rb25de that makes in region of 200 bhp. nice car ..if you can find one with a manual box. mine is a auto and is relatively quick , but in comparison with apache's na zed its a little tame ..(factory stadard) these can go up to 230bhp ish with minimal mods. top of the gts tree is the single turbo manual ...one ran 302 bhp last weekend on rr... these are very nice cars and relatively easy to live with as a daily driver (tho turbo issues as usual) if ya went for gtr youd mebbe get 350 bhp, but at cost of 13mpg and two turbos that need lookin after . final note there is an nice 245bhp auto normally asperated for sale at mo on our forum ...£3500 if ya interested ... hope that helps

lol we (the skylines) got our colective butts kicked only one gtr there to be fair and it was making 390bhp ...the closest after that was a gts t at 302....the i think 275 255 and me bringing up the rear with 183.....still was good laff

hi apache, got yer phone message mate but was outta the area unfortunatley....see ya next week! oh regarding running order the guys at the shop asked if we could run all "similar "cars in groups to reduce set up time..so we need to see who turns up ..and work with them on running order ....but if anyone needas to get off early for work .....or perhaps something important like beer then im sure we can sort it!

hi guys, me again, just thought i say hi, and clear up any confusion. this day will go ahead, just that 15cars is the ideal and the number on which the price was quoted so if we only get say 9 it may cost more..... as it is at the mo we are looking at around twelve running which should make it a nice chilled (and chilly as its still feb) day looking forward to seeing you all there.....

hi all one of our guys (skyline forum) just got back of holiday, so thats 6 cars plus your four.....thats still at the mo some way short of the 15 we need...so if ya think this might be laff send yer cheques "your club need your car"type thing i guess...... or is it your all afraid of a few skylines? grin!
