Yeah, cars in the air... soaked it in plus gas last night so will have another bash when I get back after work..... Already tried it both ways Shrek but it's being stubborn either way, even extended the c spanner so it was a metre long on monday and still no joy lol Figures crossed that PlusGas does the job!! :bow:

Plusgas it is then, where's the best place to get it?? Don't think I have heard of that before, tried the screw driver and hammer approach too, nice big 4lb lump hammer after heating it up and no joy with that either lol.... Cheers for the quick responses all!!!

Just moved house and the car is bottoming out going up the drive so have adjusted the suspension up a bit... well all except for 1 strut!! :rant: The front passenger side seems to be stuck solid, I have tried pentrating oil, heat, big ass C spanner extension and nothing is moving it!! Anyone got any handy tricks before I lose my mind?? :headvswal

My car bottoms out coming up the drive so I want to raise the suspension slighty at the front. Does anyone know on these coilovers whether I need to turn the bottom c bolt to the right, upwards towards the spring or to the left, downwards away from the spring?? I'm guessing away from it but I'm not 100% Cheers

no worries lol, it don't seem that bad!! just time consuming Hopefully lube those bolts up on the turbo good and proper and with a bit of luck they will come straight off!!

Anyone know what other parts I really need while doing this. The guide recommends the release bearing and rear seal but is there anything else it's worth changeing while we're there??

NICE ONE!! Theres no huge rush matey, just drove all the way back from Farnborough this weekend with no worries, just can't put your foot down in 5th..... or 4th..... or 3rd actually lol How long do you think it would take?? I have the clutch already, an RPS one, was gonna use the fly thats in there though, do you think that would be an issue?? You sorted your problem with the 02 sensors out yet??

I was thinking of doing this myself but have recently been told it's a nightmare and not to bother. Sooo is it a right sh*tter of a job and should I take it to a garage?? If so about how much should it cost?? I have done a fair bit of work on the car myself but never a clutch on any car so am a bit weary. If there is someone around the area who fancies an afternoon telling me how to do it with a few beer tokens their way though then that would be ideal!! :duffer: Cheers Chris

I went with the dash out option matey but then firstly my car is a manual so I couldn't be ar*ed messing with the clutch and secondly I like to be able to see exactly what I'm doing. I have no idea how peeps get it out with the dash in to be honest even now I have done it. Won't lie though, was a b*tch of a job... took me 2 whole days!! :rant: Good luck with whatever way you go!!
