Really Upset :-(
have you thought about seeing if you can get a 2nd hand one off this site? Thats what i did, 600 quid for brand new vrs 60 quid for a new one... I went to Rivermead accident repair centre in Reading, as that was where i used to live, they did a proper job, but the work still aint finished... As some toe rag drove down the n/s of my car and caused 600 quid in damage, (140 parts - 500 labour) so rub down & re-spray again... :headvswal New tailgate to pick up this weekend and the bonnet needs respraying, due to stone chips. You should ringing around in your area, try shopping around and compare quotes 1st. Your cars gonna look like that for a little while, get used to it untill u secure funds to fix teh damage... As long as it still drives...Then all good!

Tick tick tick tick... Warm up and gone! Lifters?
I keep hearing an intermittent tick tick tick noise, when starting from cold. After warming up and driving a little, it goes away. Still drives brill and i'v just had the car serviced too. I'v read on here, sticking lifters is the possible cause, what is the best way to cure this? Pete

You have some serious friction wear on the tyre wall... You sure you hav'nt clipped a kerb or something? Or was that caused in the accident?- newbie....silly questions im sure..
Manual TT rox, and blitzs a s2000 no worries...but they are difficult to get hold off cause most man' owners wanna keep em, or the ones being sold, have had enough of the expense and time fixing them. Awesome car tho... Mines at 155 k on original turbz... With imaculate history...still breaks the 155 limiter... although judging by the oil smell, i think a seal has now 'finally' gone on one... time for the engine out and new turbz fitted... lol... Depends on how much u like the driving experiance. Personally the tt is the way to go if you want looks and performance. but... s2000 any day if u wanna a reliable daily car. (just dont forget to check the oil levels, unlike my mate coming back from brands last year.) z32's at this time off life will need a little if not a lot of tlc.- Mpg
yep thats right- A few annoying problems...
Could tell it was an auto Zed mate. :D Sounds electrical. My advice is to go though every single connector that you can disconnect, from the fuel pump through to the rad, and use a small wire brush and contact cleaner on every one, clean up the contacts and put them back together. Had something 'similar' when i bought my 91 ukspec manual. Spent a few $ in the process, (ptu, fuel pump, fuel reg)but since i cleaned all the oxide from the +terminals that were showing 'fluff', the old girls run sweet as ever since. Helps if spend the time reading the tech specs that are available via this site tho. Just my advice btw. Cheers, Pete- Local help
Hi mate, have you thought about checking the injector pipes and making them secure and air tight? Are they split / cracked at start / termination? I'm sure i have downloaded an FAQ on injector upgrading which will help, but try looking at these url's; http://www.300zx.org.uk/ http://www.twinturbo.net/ttnettech/tech.aspx Cheers, Pete Btw... NEVER go to Nissan, esp' the one down the road in Rose Kiln Lane. Most things you can fix yourself with a little time and effort.- Reading jap owners meet 16th Oct
Mine is in the garage having a lot of rust removed! :D- MPG, Good, Bad or normal?
If its a turbo, try not to use em to much...- petrol comparison (NA vs Turbo)
What mpg do you get?- Fuel costs - mpg
A score.- Fuel costs - mpg
Yep, very typical, mine is a TT and typicaly i'll get 180 - 200 miles per tank, but most of that is town driving, 300+ miiles is typical of motorway cruising with Depends how many ponnies you have under the bonnet. - Really Upset :-(
