  1. Speaker wire is speaker wire. Do not worry if you are using household as long as you are not fitting amplifiers etc. If you are simply extending what is there just try to get similar size cable or avoid going smaller.
  2. Will do that as soon as I get a chance, many thanks for the information.
  3. Thanks for this. Had a code 55 when I cleaned the temp sensor, went for a drive and boost guage read 10ish psi for a while and then went restricted again. When I came back had a code 34. I am using 98 RON fuel.
  4. Actually got my zed out of safety boost for the first time yesterday, what a difference  . Done the diagnostic which came up with coolant temp sensor and detonation sensor. Cleaned the connections on the coolant sensor, will be fitting resistor to detonation sensor as soon as I get a chance to get one. Has anyone got any bad experience from fitting resistor?
  5. I take it you have bled the brakes when you reconnected the calipers?
  6. I would turn it over every now and then if I was you. Use a socket on the crank pulley. I stored a v6 Granada engine some years ago for a couple of years, the only problem I had when I eventually used it was that injectors has siezed up so I had to replace them.
  7. Cheers, will give it a try.
  8. Does anyone know the best way to remove window tint film. My rear windows have a crappy light blue film which has deteriorated over the years and seriously obstructs rear vision especially in the night? Any suggestions would be apreciated.
  9. Thanks..got the message. Will look for some over the weekend.
  10. Will do, thanks.
  11. Thats the only one working - I must be lucky..
  12. Have you not got a 12v test lamp? Dont know the colours but one will probably be permanent 12v and the other switched - easily confirmed with a test lamp. Might be telling you something you already know, apologies if this is the case.
  13. Thanks for that, looking at fitting a boost guage so will probably get the two and fit at the same time if cleaning doesn't work.
  14. Cheers! :hyper:
  15. Thanks, I'll have a look in the morning. Has anyone had any success cleaning this sensor or will I be wasting my time. Thought it might be worth a try?
  16. Hi all, just joined as I have recently bought a 1990 Jap import auto TT. Have read many threads about dodgy oil pressure sender, it appears mine is also. Can anyone tell me where it is. I have downloaded an online manual which shows it above the oil filter. I changed the oil the other day and saw no sign of it. Any assistance appreciated.
  17. Hello Neil. Cheers.
