I dont think anyone here has experienced the "91 engine problems" :confused: I'd say the vast majority on here own 90/91 TTs. It has been 13/14 years since 90/91 so if there had been any problems they'd have been sorted years ago :)

Yeah, or a foot pump. As long at it will clamp to a tyre valve and has a pressure readout that is q accurate.

Do a search for "Boost Leak Detector" - Vijay can get them for around £20. In the meantime I guess make sure all the obvious easily accessible hoses are tight and look for splits etc.

Hmmm seems a touch low, have you checked for boost leaks? 0.7bar is about 10-11psi isnt it? I get 12.5psi with 1mm jets, some get higher.

Auto zeds arent like most other autos, ie theres no massive difference in performance from the manual version. In fact they are quicker to 100mph :hyper:

I guess it will be on the entrance straight, kind of the other side of the fence to the queue for the strip. That's where the club booked areas normally are :) IIRC There are 2 or 3 enclosures along that bit.

The instructions wont be car specific but will tell you how to connect the vac line to it etc. Easiest place to tap into is on the drivers side of the balance bar (back of the engine, sitting on the top). Pull off the 4mm vacuum line which goes off to the left, you'll need a short piece of 4mm vac line to link the now exposed metal pipe to the open end of the tee piece unless the owners doesnt mind you cutting through the existing lines ;)

No it wouldn't show up a boost problem unfortunately, the ECU diagnostic collates info from a variety of sensors which feed info to the ECU. You could always take along an aftermarket boost gauge and tee it into the balance bar vacuum lines and run the gauge vac line out through the top of the bonnet, into through window ;) Done that a few times :D Are there any zed owners nearby you could take along. An owner would know if the boost was low, stock or above. Try putting a shout out in the General forum

If the car felt like it was boosting ok then its probably just the gauge sender. Most zeds will have next to no rust of maintained properly ;) That price could be a bargain depending on the rest of the car, or a rip-off, need a lot more info to be able to decide really. Buy mine instead :D
